Two weeks ago I booked a Comfort Class roundtrip from MPLS to RDU on Delta and had multiple issues, or should I say surprises.
The first is that I thought I was book Delta, but it turned out to be Delta Connection, operated by Endeavor Air, a commuter airline.
When booking the flight I paid an upgrade to their Comfort Class. On their website it states that Comfort Class offers: an “upgraded experience that includes more things to love”. Nothing could be further from the truth as there was no benefit for the upgrade. If fact, it may have actually cost me. Consider that Comfort Class is supposed to offer:
Bottom line is instead of a Delta flight, I was put on an old Endeavor Commuter that needed upgrading so bad, it was dirty, uncomfortable and lacking any amenities.
I have written them, but with amount of complaints on the internet, they probably could care less. Totally unacceptable to me, but business as usual for them.

Have you not been on a commuter plane? Do you not read what you are buying when you are buying it? It says very clearly when you buy the ticket that it's operated by a commuter airline. It always specifies what type of plane it is. You can easily find seat maps and lists of amenities for every type of plane operated by every airline. Obviously a tiny commuter plane like a CRJ-100/200 isn't going to have most of the amenities of a normal airliner. In particular, they never have Internet access or in-flight entertainment. I don't think that could even be retrofitted, they just don't have the space or the power capacity. Same applies for food and drinks -- they barely have any space for those, so you are not going to be getting premium anything. Spending five minutes looking at a site like SeatGuru would have informed you of that.
