Hi fellow consumers,

Just thought you might want to be aware of my misfortune of having ordered from Dennis Kirk. I placed a simple sprocket order online, and UPS delivered my goods within 5 days. Unfortunately, the products I received were not what I had ordered.

So, I assumed I simply needed to call their 800 number and have this matter easily resolved. Not quite- I called and spoke with service rep Judy, who incredulously told me that she could not help my situation. Really ? Wow.

Ok, so I asked to speak with Judy's supervisor, Cammie, who ALSO told me that she could not help me, as she was only involved in sales of products, and in fact there was "nothing she could do." Cammie told me, upon inquiry, that HER boss works different hours, so she could not contact her boss on my behalf, either.

In fact, Cammie told me she has no contact with any other Dennis Kirk departments, that she processes sales only, and simply repeated "there's nothing I can do." Apparantly, NOBODY at Dennis Kirk can help you if you get the wrong stuff.

So, after an hour and a half on the phone, I expressed some disgust and insisted that Cammie, as a supervisor, contact SOMEONE to remedy my situation, which she finally obliged by sending an email to someone at Dennis Kirk. The next day, I called Dennis Kirk and explained my predicament yet a third time.

I was told that the part numbers on my order were correct, so it was probably my error in faulty installation. Though the part number on the PACKAGE was indeed correct, the actual part in no way matched what was ordered- I had to confirm this by providing measurements over the phone, and FINALLY the Dennis Kirk representative Linda agreed that my shipment was incorrect.

Linda agreed to send me the part I had originally ordered, which she informed me was not in stock, but she'd get it to me when she could. Then she told me I'd have to pay the shipping charges to return the original incorrectly shipped part as well. My best advice if you order from Dennis Kirk is to cross your fingers and pray, even if you're agnostic.

Joe
