Dependable Auto Shippers DAS Bait and Switch Con Artists Internet
On 3/24/12, I won an online auction on Ebay. The item I won was a Ford F-350. Before I placed the winning bid, I received a written quote to ship the item: 56435263 for $726. When I tried to book the shipping following the auction, DAS told me they were going to charge me $1800 for the exact service that I had a written quote for. When I explained that I had a written bid, the "customer service agent" said: "too bad, I'm not booking it unless you pay me $1800."
This is a blatant bait and switch. The carrier is committing fraud.
