Late one night, I decided to check-out Dr. Ox's website because of a product I heard described in passing.  When Derma-Genetix came-up I mistakenly assumed the products were linked to or endorsed by Dr. Oz.  I am now sure that they were not.

I placed a trial order for one product, and then offered an opportunity to also try a second product - so, I requested that one as well.  NO place in the trial offer was it obviously or clearly specified that the "Trial" product was not actually a product to try - and that I would later be billed full-price for the product if I was not satisfied.

I returned home last night from a trip to the East Coast where my husband and I visited my nearly 90 year old father (who has seriopusd health concerns); and where my husband and I began the process of settling his now-deceased uncle's estate - including the cremation and distribution of his remains.  I casually looked through my mail and noticed that I had been billed by Derma-Genetix (though my bill does not state that name specifically) for the full cash value of the products that I had ordered.

I called Derma-Genetix today and was eventually connected to a "service provider" named Carrie. The "service" was anything but polite of helpful.  She did, however, direct me to a very convoluted "Terms and Conditions" notice that is visible in very small print after and order is placed IF youy scroll down to the bottom of the page.  The "Terms and Conditions" do specify that you must contact Derma-Genetix within 14 days of placing your order if you are unsatisfied or you will be charged the exhobitant rate of approximatley $94+ dollars per bottle of product received in the Trail promotion.  THIS information is not readily available when placing an order; and it is not included in the package of product received.

I believe that Derma-Genetix "Trial" offer is a Rip Off.  The terms and conditions are extremely misleading.  The company does not make clear their intention to bill you full price for the "trail" product sent and/or that they will continue to send products (at a ridiculously high cost) until you contact them...and get one of their surly agents to cancel your membership.

In that I was out of town for a while attending to family matters, I did not get the low-down on this company's rip-off terms and conditions.  I have contacted my credit card company and am contesting this charge.  I strongly advise any and every one to avoid doing any business with this compamny unless you are truly impressed with their product and you have the resources to afford them.  (As a special education teacher, I cannot afford silly creams that will cost nearly $200 a month.)  My products are unused, unopened, and I have offered to send them back - But Derma-Genetix will not accept them.  Rip )ff to be sure!
