My son and I moved 376 miles from Mobile, Alabama to Smyrna, Georgia. We found an apartment by verbal advertisement and viewing a demo apartment of an agent. It looked great. Affordable rent, pools, gym and in a remote location. What we got on March 26, 2004 was not what we viewed in February. Our apartment was missing balcony blinds, had roaches sprayed with white paint, the toilet had human mess in it. We did not have a functional stove or dishwasher and still do not have one as of today. We have also notice rodents coming out of the ground at the dumpster, as if they only live in this area. My ten year old son could get bitten by those animals. The demo that the agent showed and the conversation about the complex informed us that the complex was under renovation and there were new cabinet, appliances, tile and carpet in every apartment. Well guess what? There is no such thing. Now we are in a spot,we don't want to live and we have only been here a 3 months. I have contact a lawyer to see what our rights are. I will definitly check and see if our next apartment is listed on this sight, if we can get out of this horrible place!
