Destin Mobile Homes Complete ripoff Full of promises they couldn't deliver Destin Florida
My girlfriend and me and our 3 kids went shopping for a new mobile home around August 2004. We stopped at Destin Mobile Homes because it's the only one in the area. I know it's not easy to shop with the kids, but our babysitter had her water turned off and we didn't want the kids staying there like that.
Just because we weren't dressed nice and we didn't drive up in a nice care, the salesman was completely mean to us. He asked if the kids would wait in the car at one point so that we could talk about the trailer. How RUDE!! I apologized, but our A/C wasn't working and I'm not going to leave them in there in the summertime in florida.
Then he got his manger involved who convinced us to go ahead and put $1000 down to buy this trailer. They told us no problem with our credit, they wuld take care of everything. That wasn't true at all. After arguing for 6.5 hours with the salesman, they refussed to give me my check back and told me that they could deliver the trailer next Wednesday. I told em I don't want the trailer any more. They still refussed to give me my check back.
I ended up haveing to go to my bank and cancel the check, which cost me $25. Dont' ever go to destin Mobile Homes. They are high pressure sales people who are rude, don't like kids, and won't let you leave until you by something from them. It was a horible situation to go thru with 3 kids who got real hungry and cranky and my girlfriend who just wanted a nice place to call our own.
