d**k and Nancy Simmons of Dynasty Arabians take advantage of people who know nothing about horses. They conned me into buying an expensive horse from them, though the horse was green broke and I did not have any riding experience. They promised me lessons and to train the horse for me, none of which they provided. I was stuck with a horse who was green broke and had behavioral problems as well as problems with lameness and an extremely sore back. After the horse bucked me off a few times I decided to sell him. When I went to go retrain and sell him, d**k (Richard) told me that he will retrain and sell the horse for me. His facility is a private one and I was unable to ask other horse experienced people what I should do. Because I didn't know I had any options, I let him con me into even more money by retraining and selling the horse. After he did this, he gave me a check for one hundred dollars only, after I had put thousands of dollars into this crazy acting and lame horse.
Now I had gone onto learning horse training and riding under professional Grand Prix dressage riders and international clinicians. I have since learned the horse business but now it is too late than to pursue this any further than just "Ripoff Report". My advice, anyone who is inexperienced in the equine industry, do not do business with this man! He will con you time and again, so don't listen to him! Take your horse to a public, rather than a private facility, and there learn about the horse industry rather then being stuck at a private facility with no help and only con men!

sorry I did not have enought time to complete the report last night.... looking back at the situation, now I am an experienced equestrian and have worked training multiple horses and giving professional lessons, it was not good! The horse was retarded, there was something wrong there! I have worked with over a hundred horses now, seven years later, and have only worked with two that were like this horse, and neither of these were as bad!
The horse spooked literally every few seconds, even in the indoor arena, reared, spun, tried to throw me off, bolted constantly and one time took me under a tree branch scratching my eye. Another time bucked me off and injured my back. At that point, though I had no horse experience at the time, I could tell something was wrong and attempted to sell the horse. Immediately as the woman mounted him, she did not get her foot into the stirrup before he turned into a bronco!
I asked d**k and Nancy to either give me lessons themselves or let another trainer come to the barn and train this horse. They told me "no", they do not allow other trainers at their barn, or lesson teachers, and would not give me lessons themsleves. So I was stuck in this situation and didn't know what to do. d**k Simmons was abusive toward both me and the horse, he even whipped me with a whip, leaving a welt on my arm. He constantly startled my horse porposely in order to make him even more wild. He did this with all of his own horses as well, in order to make them wild because he believed that they will win in shows someday if they were made wild.
He was verbally abusive to the elderly woman he gave lessons to, making her cry at every lesson, and also swearing and yelling at her constantly. He did the same to me whenever he came across me at the barn. He sold her a horse that reared and I was afraid for her safety. Again, he would not let another trainer train the horse or give me lessons but offered to himself both train and sell the horse himself. Again, he gave me a check for only one hundred dollars and I never heard from him since... Don't let this con man con anyone else!!!! I do not blame his wife so much as I feel she is a victim as well. Don't fall prey to this conman
