 In July 2015, we tried to use the card for my sons expenses but it was declined. After reviewing the statements going back to May, there was suspicious activity. I called Direct Express and spoke to two reps who took down all of the details and let me know that I would also need to fill out paperwork that I would receive in the mail. I gave them all of the details again and mailed the paperwork back. A couple of weeks later, I received a letter that Direct Express had tried to contact me but my phone number was invalid so my case was going to be closed. I called and confirmed my phone number. It was correct in their system. I asked why the claim was being denied. They gave me two more excuses that were false. The only resolution (said the incompetent, rude manager) was to resend the paperwork and "make sure you fill it out correctly this time". No paperwork arrived. I called back requesting both the paperwork and statements from months in question be sent to me. The statements arrived, the paperwork, two weeks later, still has not. I am disgusted that this is the company who is responsible for our military, disabled and elderly benefits. For those people, I will fight tooth and nail to have this company fired from their government contract.

All this activity is going on for ALL this time and NOT ONCE in that entire period do you even bother to check your account, let along balance your own check register which you probably don't even keep! 

There are time limits as to how much liability the bank has in regards to alleged fraudulent activity.  However, since you've kept such close track of the account, how would you know.

Oh yes, its the fault of the big bad bank who singled you out to get you!  What is obvious here is neither you nor your son have ANY idea as to how to manage a bank account otherwise either one of you would have caught it within a day or so after it happened.

Incredible.  Absolutely incredible!

Don't bother writing back with the typical "you must work for them" nonsense, because I don't!
