Direct TV rip off the elderly, entice elderly into contracts with false promises they don't keep! Phoneix Arizona
May '06 I was told via a phone represeative of Direct TV that I was entitled to a$5.00 a month
credit. I received the credit from May 'o6 through September '06. September I received a letter from Mr. Johnson, Customer Service Manager. He states I was given the credits in error.He further stated my next bill would include the reinbursement of the charges and gave me a free movie coupon. I would not of entered a contract if I had not been told the "real deal." Now I'm in the contract they are changing the agreement.
When I called to talk personally with Mr. Johnson, I was told he dosen't have a phone and I would have to write him, the address is in Colorado. As of this date I have not heard from him. I know that if I pay the amount they are billing me, I would be accpting the additional charges but, if I don't make my payment they will disconnect the cable and bill me for not fulfilling my contract...
