In response to the peson who said "get cable", not everyone can do this. Some of us live in rural areas and the cable companies do not consider it cost effective to come to us. If we want television we are stuck with satellite. I have DirecTV with tivo and for the most part I am happy with it. I guess I was just lucky since a two-satellite dish was already on the roof when I purchased the house and tivo was a simple matter of switching receivers. To the person having problems with DirecTV, keep pestering. Don't give up. Somewhere out there is an American, English speaking tech with a working brain.

DVR, Digital, plus Video ondemand by the way SAT can't offer VOD. plus i have High speed internet and Home phone service with free long distance included, also my picture never goes out nor does my phone or internet. I had satillite for years and I will never go back. Just free yourself the trouble and get cable installed.
