direct tv scam for NFL ticket Sunday package told me I had to pay 260$ for this when I did even know I was signed up Internet
I just found out I am enrolled in an "NFL Ticket Sunday" package with Diret TV - this package is $260 for the football season. I apparently was signed up for this package as a free-bee for a year and did not know this at all. After the first year if you don't cancel this package you have to pay for it. I called to cancel this right away as I never watch football and had no idea I signed up for this package. The service men on the other line were extremely rude and non sympathetic. They informed me that the NFL- package could not be canceled after the season began and I would have no choice but to pay the fee wether or not I watch football. They told me this is their policy and that I was informed of this via mail and should have read my mail to know this. I have not seen any such notices in my mail.
I stated that it must be possible to cancel this package- they continued to argue with me saying this is their policy and I signed this and should know. I stated that they can send a man to the moon but you guys can't cancel a satelite TV package. I was told "they did not have a policy to put a man on the moon". I feel very much like they are scam artist more than anything else. I have never had this happen before from any other company. I plan to cancel my contract at any cost. I will never get roped into this company's lure. Their other scams are reducing your 30% disounted rate after a year. Moving with this company is a nightmare. If you are unable to have reception for direct tv it can be a nightmare to break the contract with them. Talking on the phone with this company is a nightmare. I do not need this extra stress in my life!!
