WOW! For such a "good company", there are ALOT of complaints! And they all say the SAME THING. Bad product. Bad customer service. Yada yada yada. Get real. This company, and the ones like it, STINK. They are con-artists. Nothing more. I think I will take that other ex-employee's suggestion, and present the info to the State Att. General.

I am sorry that you had such a bad experience with Direct USA. My husband manages one of the offices and complaints are taken very seriously at Direct and are usually handled right away. I know that the company does have a 3 day money back gaurantee and the managers cannot override that, and that the meat can be exchanged for anything else. I myself eat the meat and have never had a problem. They do have quality meat and I think you maybe got a bad batch but I would urge you to try one of the company's other food just to see what you think. Its really not bad the chicken is awesome. They also have pork and seafood. They actually just got a new meat package that is amazing. Again I am sorry for you bad experiencce but ask that you try another package and see what you think of that one. If you call coorparate and have the meat and let them know the manager wont call you back they will make sure that he gets you taken care of asap. Steve tells all the managers to take care of their customer services right away. Let me know how it turns out if anything maybe I can try help you to exchange the meat. Let me know how it turns out and please give it another chance, it really is good.

After I told them I would contact the Better Business Bureau, I received a refund for the full amount with in a week! I was suprised. It's sad it took me threatening them w/ that for them to finally refund my money. I have nothing good to say about this company!!!

I used to work for "Direct USA" here in Phoenix. They are not known for giving money back easily. First of all, they release the product on consignment to their "employees". The cost is approx. $99 a case, which is six small boxes. The worker then goes door to door and sells it for anwhere between $145 and $300. When complaints are recieved, the Company would not want to have to refund ALL of the customer's money, because it would be tough to get the commission back from the employee, leading the Company to take a loss. So, sorry, but good luck getting any money back. Your best bet is to go to the police.

Here it is October 10, 2006. We still have not received a refund check. We have called 1-877-280-1888 and spoke w/ Cathy once and another lady twice. All THREE times we were told they were going to call us back. One time the lady even said she would call us back "Very soon." Hmmm, no call yet. That's been atleast 2 weeks ago. I sent another email to the company today, and told them I want a check by the end of next week or I'm filing a complaint w/ the Better Business Bureau. Let's see if that gets them moving any faster. I will update again when I get a response or a check!

Yesterday the manager came w/ a "trainee". Everything was going okay until he had my husband sign the inventory form. At the bottom, he had wrote "made trip to handle this cust. serv. customer did not call back, owes me $30.00 for gas, and trouble per Al V." He is claiming that Al came down last week, and kept trying to call us, but we didn't answer the phone. First of all, the 2 numbers they have to reach us, have caller ID, they never called! Second, both numbers have voice mail, we never had any messages. Third, if you're going to drive 2-3 hours away to pick up meat, wouldn't you make sure you got a hold of the person to confirm they will be there, BEFORE you drive there?! It doesn't make sense! It's lies, and they're trying to scam us out of an extra $30.00 now! He says he's going to turn in the form, so we can get our money, but we will see. My husband has to call the Head office now to discuss this $30.00, because the manager, Don said we have to take it up w/ them! After they left my house, they had the nerve to drive down the street going door to door again! I live on a military installation, and I went to the Military Police to find out if they can be banned from Post. Come to find out, there is no soliciting allowed on this Post, and they think they have ALREADY been banned from coming on here! They are looking into this situation further. There has obviously been problems here w/ this company for them to be banned so I hope people will read this and know, there is something wrong w/ this company! Will update again, when/if we ever get our check!

She never called back, but a man did to schedule a pick up. Unfortunately, this man and my husband played phone tag all day, and didn't get a pick up date scheduled. The man said he would call back at 8pm that night (Wednesday) and never did. So it's been almost 48 hours since he was suppost to call. My husband will try again today and this weekend. Hopefully we can get this figured out, because it's taking entirely too long!

Here it is almost a month later. I NEVER received a call from the manager of the Charleston, SC office to give me a scheduled pick up date. I called a couple days ago, and left a message. Nobody called me back. My husband called, reached someone, and explained the situation, and the guy told him, "Call back @ 9am" and hung up on him! My husband decided to call the head office in St. Petersburg, and spoke w/ a woman who he said was rude to him. She was telling him about their 3 day policy, and that they could do an exchange for another product. He told her we didn't get the brochure that explained the 3 day policy, and she told him it was on the box. I went to my freezer and checked the boxes. There wasn't nothing about a return policy. Unless she meant the big box that all of the boxes was in, but hello? who has room for that in their freezer?! Of course people are going to take it out of that box to put the meat in their freezer! And her trying to exchange the meat for another product is so stupid. We were already "approved" for a pick up, so that is what they need to be working on, instead of trying to negotiate w/ us! Just come get the dang meat already! I want my money back! This woman said she would call back in 48 hours, so I will update then. Also when I emailed the company from their website about what is going on, I haven't received a response back from them either. That was also at least a month ago. Stay away from this company! Will update again when/if this lady calls back.

I typed the wrong city for the office in SC. It wasn't Charlotte, it was Charleston. Just needed to correct that. I'm still waiting on word for a scheduled pick up date.
