Your story seems to be lacking some information from you. You know were you paid up, you were 4 months behind in paying your bill or you broke your contract with them.

So I'm guessing the latter is what happened in your case. Nothing is really for free and you have to understand this. You have to either run the course of the contract or paid the early termination charges.

The only thing in your favor is Directv was sued by all 50 State Attorney Genral's Offices. For this they have to give you a 15 day notice before they charge your card or bank. This probably wont help you because they will just reverse the charges. Then come back and send you the 15 day notice and recharge your account.

If you don't fully understand what your getting yourself into. Then maybe people shouldn't be signing any contract.

You do realize that when called in to cancel your account. The CSR told you that you were going to be charge for breaking your contract with them. So that's when they gave you your 15 day notice.

Good luck.

Remember when YOU signed the original paperwork that was your contract? When YOU signed that paperwork, that you did not read, YOU gave them EXPRESS PERMISSION to remove ANY AMOUNT OWED from the ACTIVE card you had on file.!!! If YOU didnt sign the contract but instead helped someone by helping pay thier bill then YOUR card is on file as the last card and that is what is withdrawn from. At that point the person whos bill YOU paid must be the one to collect from as THEY had the obligation to inform YOU that your card would be on file.
