My husband and I purchased shutters back in August by Manley. He also told us if we paid in full we would not have to pay taxes. Luckily we paid 1/2. Manley told us it would be receiving within 6-8 weeks. We did receive them in November.

First they were not what we ordered, and did not receive ALL SHUTTERS, secondly the quality was very poor,runny paint,and chips. Just not at all what we thought we were going to be getting. They did not complete the job and said they would be returning and never did.

Come to find out they will not be completing the job, and they are in the process in filing Chapter 11 which I was told. Here recently I received a call from Kristen wanting to collect the remainder of the money. I then told her to call my husband. He told her that he would not be paying her and told her basically to take him to court. She then threatened to put a lean on the house. Now this is a person that ripped off so many other people and she wants to collect money for a job that was not even completed. Now she's got nerve.

C - Phoenix, Arizona Thank you for your advise. I will go ahead and file w/ROC, and BBB. I've already filed with the Attorney Gen. My husband and I did receive the products. NOT ALL, the shutters were not what we ordered, the job was incomplete. The reason for my husband and I being so upset is when Kristen called my husband and I she threatened to put a lean on our home. That is when I told her she has ripped off so many people and she then told me she was the victim. That is where the problem is. They did not deliver in 6-8 weeks like they said, they didn't deliver the products that we ordered, and the job was incomplete, mind you the quality is VERY POOR. And she has the nerve to tell me she wiil put a lean on our home and collect was is owed to her. What about what she owes everone else. What rights does Kristen and her husband have?

Nora, I filed at report with the ROC, Attorney Gen. office and the BBB. The ROC will send a letter to Discount Blind and Shade (they probably won't respond) they have 10 days to respond then you request a hearing. If Kristen and her husband dont show you win. You can recover your money from the ROC recovery fund. If they file for Chapter 7 you/we will need to contact the Bankrupcy Court and ask for a stay to recover you money. If you are out a sizable amount get an attorney. You can request that your legal fee's are paid if you win. Also, ask for pain and suffering. Kristen and Ken AKA crooks can only file for Chapter 7 every 7 years if they do and you/we dont ask for a stay they get all their judgments wiped clean and we get nothing. I've been checking the courts and its not posted that they have filed for Chapter 11 or 7 at this time. But as soon as its posted the judge will be listed. You can write a letter or show up. If you show up its best to have an attorney-they can move you through the court process. Most attorney will talk to you for free on the phone and a good one will tell you if their fee's are worth your time. I'm not out as much as some people but enough for me to do my own leg work. Also, the person who took my report at the ROC was all over this mess were in. I felt from my conversation with them that the ROC is not taking this lightly.

I just cannot believe all the information that has been put out there. My question is? Who will pay for all this? and who will be making the final decisions? Will it go to court? or will Kristen and Mr.Montoya collect what she is claiming is due to them. Being she feels she and her family are the victims here. As she told me they lost EVERYTHING!! Can Kristen put a lean on personal property? Who are the real victims here?

I purchased 10 Planation Shutters by SHORELINE WINDOW FASHIONS from Lester P. Sebay in May 2005. Our windows were measured, a work order invoice issued and payment given to Lester P. Sebay. Lester P. Sebay cashed our check but never submitted our work order. We have done business with Lester P. Sebay twice in the past with no problems. Lester P. Sebay's RIPOFF SCEME was to gain the trust of customers and swindle them out of their money hoping it would be too time consuming to file reports with local authorities or agencies. WRONG, MR. SEBAY! I contacted SHORELINE WINDOW FASHIONS (located in Oxnard, CA)and discussed SEBAY'S ripoff with the Manufactoring Manager, Mr. Patai. LESTER P. SEBAY was terminated by SHORELINE WINDOW FASHIONS. I was further told by Tony Margot (vice-pres. of Shoreline) that SHORELINE was not responsible for any refund and to "shove it". I filed a grand theft report with the local authorities. In addition, I also filed a complaint with the California State Licensing Board against LESTER P. SEBAY for selling without a license. The D. A. filed on both charges against LESTER P. SEBAY. LESTER P. BEBAY was eventually arrested in October 2005 in Livermore, CA working at WENTE WINERY on that warrant for grand theft and failure to appear. Legal civil issues have been also filed in Solano County against LESTER P. SEBAY. I may not ever get my money back but I'll make sure LESTER P. SEBAY will spend some time in jail for his RIPOFF schemes. For those who have been swindled, do what it takes to file charges or take any legal action. Do not let them get away with this. LESTER P. SEBAY will have that felony charge of grand theft haunting him for quite awhile (let's not forget his misdemeanor charge of selling without a license. David Patia used to work for Shoreline and now he works with Kristen Wolf- I think all of these companies/people are in on this together! Sounds like Shoreline is also ripping people off!

I don't really understand what is going on..I received a call this morning from Kristen. She was wanting to collect the remaining amount of the money. She told me that either we pay or she will get her trustee/attorney. This is her 5th attempt within this week. She told me that my husband and I would end up paying more then what the remaining balance is. I then told her how I've been reading how her and her husband have ripped off so many people and did not receive their products. I also told her that I read nothing but bad things about her and her husband. I metinoned that I read that she and her husband had opened other companies under other names she then told me that was not against the law. She continued to tell me her and her husband lost everything and they trusted these people by the names of Michael Margot (?) and also mentioned another name Avanti oh and Patai (?) and that they were the bad people, not her. Also, told me she was a good person and didn't intend to hurt anyone and her intentions are still to deliver the products to these people that are without and that her husband and her had a reputable company since 2004. I just listened. Again, she asked what my final decision would be. Either pay-up or get the trustee involved. I told her get the trustee involved and the judge would make the final decision. This woman was almost in tears by the end of our conversation. I don't know if it was from anger or what??
