Just To Clarify...

I will try to explain what has been happening eventhough this customer doesn't give concise facts. on your first paragraph you said that had been a customer for 4 year and it took us 2month to installed it. ok, and then? why until now (4 yrs after) you are complaining? Now on your 2nd,3rd,4th,5th and the rest of your story, you are only venting, which is good for your health, and not giving facts. But i will try to explain: On every account dish gives the customer the hability to order ppv's; for their convenience. This feature comes with responsability and security. You can order a ppv thru your receiver box, like you had been trying, using your remote. When you order a ppv the system prompts you to 3 messages to confirm you are ordering a ppv and each message has 2-3 optionn; "no" is chosen as a default. Your receiver must be properly connected to a working phone line, and configurated properly (e.g. dial 9 to dial out, VOIP, etc) this is located in your menus and included in your dishnetwork receiver manual. And if you dont have a land line you can order thru: 1. dishnetwork.com, with no fee 2. 1-888-347-4778 with a fee of $1.00 3. calling and ordering it thru an agent with a fee of $5.00 as you can see dish offers customer alternatives to order ppv with no cost. Now, there is a limit for ordering ppvs. Usually is 100 or 200. but why? The reason of this limit is mainly for customer protection. Lets say for example that you forgot to lock your system (which is customer's responsability not the installer's nor dish customer service representatives') and someone orders ppvs all day. At the timeof your bill arrival you will become upset and will blame dish no one else. As your residential agreement states, (which can be found at dishnetwork.com, in you manual and on ch100) these events, ppvs, are not refundable and are due immediatelly. So no matter how well you pay your bill on time, if you had reached the limit of your ppvs in 10 days, due to movies, adult movies, wrestling events, boxing and so on; you will not be able to continue ordering ppvs until you have cleared your ppv balance. Just do the math, if on your last bill shows you will be billed on a future day and you have ppvs, add those to the ones that you are trying to order nd if you have reach the limit ant your bill hasnt paid up yet you wont be able to order. Now please, you claimed that you had been a customer for four years and you don't understand how it works?please come on! It is true that receivers sometime just quit working..this is normal.. but in your case and since you had been encountering ppv ordering (technical) , 1. consider checking your phone wiring, it might not have proper grounding affecting your receiver modem and could damage it, preventing you from ordering ppvs. 2. Also check any surge protector, making sure it has the correct frequency rate. remember always get the correct equipment, "EXPENSIVE doesn't mean good all the times". Yes, it applies to EVERYTHING. 3. If you have excesive devices connected to your phone jacks (eg fax, phones, your home alarm, your RECEIVER (s)etc, this could cause your telephone frequency to drop. Not all answers are stupid. If the customer is a good listener and formulates the correct question. peace:-] P.S. explain me the situation (with more details) and I WILL RESOLVE IT.
