My complaint is quite different from the other complaints here. My complaint involves online payment.

I make my payments to Dish Network. I have done so for over a year now. In April, 2008, I made my payment online as usual; the only exception being that I had ran out of checks and had none here at home. I wrote a check to the water company, then when I went to make my Dish payment, I realized that I had used my last check. Thinking that the routing number was the same on checks as on the deposit slip, I used that routing number. I completed my payment to Dish. Then when I went to make an online payment to my power company, their system informed me that the routing number did not exist. So I looked at the routing number on the deposit slip, opened the envelope for the water bill and compared the deposit slip routing number to the check routing number. They were different! I immediately emailed and then called Dish. I explained what I had done and gave them the correct routing number along with my cell phone number in case there were any problems. That was on the 14th. Fortunately, my payment was not due until the 24th. Before my payment due date, I checked online to make sure they had corrected the routing number and that my payment was actually posted. When I went online to the Dish account, it had a balance owed as ten dollars higher than my payment was supposed to be. I called. The lady who spoke with me stated that it was for a returned check fee. I had a fit. I did not have a returned check. I had posted the wrong routing number and had called and emailed within minutes of the error. No one had contacted me on my cell phone to say there had been a problem. The lady took the ten dollar fee off of my account. I thought the problem was solved. That is what I thought. This month when I went online to make my payment, the system would not allow me to make my payment with my checking account!! I was being treated like someone who had written a bad bounced check as in a insufficient fund!! I called. They stated that the bank controls that part of their website and will not allow checking accounts to be used until six months have passed. I was furious. This makes no sense. So evidently, Dish Network does not even have control of their website. And as for their repeated claims of "appreciating my business"....BULL CRAP!! I made my payment online with my debit card for the same account as which they will not accept my check. I do not suppose Dish Network will be our satellite provider in our home much longer now. There is always Direct TV and the local Time Warner cable company. The man at Dish reiterated to me several times that Direct costs more than Dish. I could not make him understand that it is not the amount of money, but the way a customer is serviced and treated. And as for the "returned check"....there is a big difference in a banking error and a "returned check". Oh, yeah...somehow in all of this, I was supposed to just accept their apology when they "some how" accidently turned off my America's Top 200 and regressed me to America's Top 100. Hmmm......Direct or Time Warner are looking better and better to me as I sit and write this after having read all of the complaints here against Dish Network.

I see you posted September 14, 2015.

When I called these two companies (Lavish (877) 426-4730 and Neudermis (877) 426-541-0130), they told me that I had been given 14 days to return the merchandise.  I saw this nowhere on the site from which I ordered the trials.

Call your credit card company to have them negotiate for you. After calling these two companies and being given small partial refunds, I called my credit card company who negotiated a bit larger partial refund from one of the companies (Neudermis).  Still dissatisfied, I filed a report here on RipOffReports, the Better Business Bureau, and a government agency concerning online sales.  To my surprise, Lavish posted a full refund, and Neudermis refunded the amount negotiated by my credit card company. I still paid $4.95 and $3.95 per what I agreed originally, and had to pay $22.20 of remaining ripoff amount from Neudermis.

Much good luck to you.  And I am sure you learned a lesson as I did.....just don't click on anything online that is selling something.

Ok, where's the rip off

Ok first, whenever a company processes a payment for you, it costs them money to allow access to the software in order to get your payment to their bank. Because of your error, they submitted your wrong payment information to their bank, who in turn processed it and returned it and Dish probably was charged a fee. This charged was passed to you and you're upset about it? If you would have just called your bank and confirmed the routing number then no problems would have occurred. Every company discloses an online payment agreement which you probably agreed to without reading, which states the fee for any returned payment, NSF or banking error (doesn't matter), and also states that you will probably be denied access to online payments if there is a problem with any payment submitted online. This isn't a ripoff, it was your error that caused the problem.
