Dishnetpc offer thousands of Tv channels to watch on the net for $35.00 with perfect picture quality. Once I paid and downloaded the program I found a number of suggestions to try if the picture wasn't perfect. I tried all of these suggestions to find:

1. The picture breaks up then freezes while the Audio keeps playing.

2. Alot of the English speaking channels say "they are not available at this time".

3. After requesting a refund and telling them my problem they stated "We do not give refunds only Tech support".

4. After 5 emails I haven't heard from Tech support again.

Very disapointed.

How to Avoid Running Into A Scam

#2Consumer Suggestion

Thu, July 14, 2011

I like to add that I'm greatly familiar with DishnetPC and many other PC Satellite TV software services. I'm not an employee of any of them but I like give some pointers to help prevent future problems.

There are precautionary steps that one should consider taking before purchasing one of these products. This will help prevent one thinking that this is a scam and can't get a refund:

1. First thing to do is try to find the top 5-10 PC Satellite TV software services on the market. I consider DishnetPC one of the top brands, but that's not to say it's made for everyone.

2. Visit the merchant's site and read page for page everything there is about the software including, but not limited to, the TOS (Terms of Services), Privacy Policy, money back guarantee, benefits, package, services, bonuses, etc.

3. Next, know exactly who handles refunds. In many cases, the merchant who sells the software outsource their sale/refund transaction to PayPal, Clickbank or Plimus. Be cautious of merchants that handle there own sale/refund transactions. Whichever payment processor you use to send your payment (i.e. PayPal, Clickbank or Plimus) will be the one you request a refund from, not the software merchant.

How to find out who handles refunds. When visiting the software merchant's website, scroll down until you see a Buy or Download button or some button that takes you to the order page. There you will find the name of the processor associated with the merchant. This could be Clickbank or Plimus and PayPal. You can choose for instance Clickbank if that's the processor associated or PayPal if they are associated with the merchant.

4. Ask the software merchant questions by sending an email to their customer/tech support. Remember, none of these services have phone numbers. Ask intelligent questions such as, "Is your software compatible to Windows 7" or "Do you offer channels in (name your country)" or "When can I expect support if something goes wrong," etc.

Not only should this help get your initial questions answer but you are checking their response time to see if they make good on their promise, i.e. respond to emails within 2 business days. Whatever is stated on their site you need to test.

5. Lastly, understand that while these products do work, it doesn't mean they will work on your computer - even if it's compatible. Since many of these services don't offer free trials, including the top leading brands, it's best to test your computer. Not only that, you should also clean and optimize your computer such as running scans to remove viruses, spyware, malware, disk scan and to remove unnecessary/unused files from your hard drive.

If your computer is relatively old, they it's even more important to perform the above. Also, if your computer has a habit of stopping in the middle of downloading a file, image, video, software, etc., then download a free management download software so that you can resume without having to start the downloading process from the beginning. New computers, should also be cleansed and optimized as the Internet is filled with garbage that can harm or slow the speed of a computer.

Find a free PC Satellite TV software or a free trial (there are a few free trials out there) and test one or two of them on your computer. Why? Because you don't want to shell out any money until you know for a fact your computer is compatible with these products. Each computer is different because they different software and hardware in them that can cause a PC Satellite TV not to work, or work properly.

So test your computer first. If 1-2 of the freebie software works well on your computer, then more than likely a top leading brand that you have your eyes on will work also. If the test software doesn't work, it could be as simple as your computer's firewall is blocking the TV player from working. If not, then it's something else.

Following these practical steps not only saves grief in the end when purchasing one of these products, but you'll know for yourself without taking anyone's advice whether your computer is incompatible.

Remember, always still with the stop leading brands that use PayPal, Clickbank or Plimus and you will be protected. If the software doesn't work, simply request a full refund from these processors. I never had any problems after purchasing a product online that didn't work or didn't meet my expectation.

The misconception is that PC Satellite TV software services deliver HD (crystal clear) channels, premium paid channels like Satellite and Cable, have no downsides, and software merchants own the channels. None of these are true, yet the upsides can be greater than the downsides depending on how you look at things. Apparently, there are more happy users than unhappy users and I'll leave it at that!
