Dishnetwork dishonest ripoffs the business that doesn't give a dam tricked and lied to us detroit Michigan
In Jan. 2002, I had a fire in my home. The satellite boxes for dishnetwork were destroyed. I called them and per their request I faxed a letter explaining what had happened. I did not hear from them for about 3 weeks and when I did hear from them it was in the form of 2 boxes being left at the address of the fire by UPS, for me to send back the equipment. I thought nothing of it, since I had called and couldn't send the equipment back because they were no longer in existence. In my letter I requested to have my service put on hold until my home was repaired in about 2-3 months.
In Mid Feb 2002, I went to the ATM to withdraw money and they, DISHNETWORK had withdrawn $638.00 from my account. I called and was told that it did not matter that I wanted to keep the service after my home was repaired, they wanted their equipment back. And it does not matter what card or checking account I have used in the past to pay my bill, they would debit any account that has shown up on my records regardless of the fact if it was mine or a family memebers or just a friend.
I've e-mailed them 2 times and still have not received a response. They are dogs, wtih no compassion for anyone.

Say for example you lend me your car and somebody sets it on fire, now i cant tell you well im sorry i cant give you your car back cause someone set it on fire. no you want your car back and you would want me to pay you back cause you loaned me your car right? same thing applies here, dish network leased the equipment out to you so it is your responsability to replace those boxes. also the contract that you signed told you that you agree to sign up to 12 CONSECUTIVE months so no matter what happens you have to fulfill that. if you bought a car and you lost your job you cant tell the bank ohh... i cant pay you right now cause i have no money. it is still your responsability to make those payment. a contract is a contract. Also on the contract it told you that if you default on the contract that you give permission to deduct the money from any card that was given to make payments on the account. If you had read this contract then you wouldnt be surprised about what is going on.
