Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Went to Animal Kingdom October 2005 with family. Hurricane came, could not use all of our park passes.

Found out the passes we had expired so we were out of luck. When I checked out of hotel was asked how our stay was and I said it was lousy. She said she was sorry to hear about it and what could she do. I asked if she make our last day on our tickets last another year or so and she said she could make them so the last day did not expire at all. I was happy (oh if only I knew!!)

The lousy trip was because the place was packed, the hotel was not staffed well enough for people stuck in it for a day and a half while the hurricane passed through, on our last day we were to have a character breakfast at the Animal Kingdom. When I made the reservations I said "do we need to use our tickets" as we were not staying that day and I did not want to use our last day just for a character breakfast, she said NO, just show them your confirmation number.

Showed up, showed them the confirmation number and they insisted we needed to use our tickets (which we had left in the hotel room). She was adamant, my grandchildren were crying, I went to customer service, had to pay to get in and then when they were sure we would come back out and not rip them off a day, they credited my account back, BUT they only gave us an hour to have breakfast and get back!! Got to breakfast and they were running late, wanted us to wait 30 minutes!!!! Had to beg the manager to let us in, had a quick breakfast, barely saw the characters, and ran back to front gate so we could get my credit back on my card!!

Now my son and family are there again (I begged them not to go) and guess what?? They have been told they can't use the tickets because they aren't tickets, they are hotel room keys with our names on them, the EXACT thing we were told to use if we ever came back!!!!

I have made numerous phones calls, been on wait for over 30 minutes, thought I had it fixed only to be told they only keep their financial records for 1 year and basically I am sh__ out of luck!! Go figure, the happy place doesn't give a crap about you people, and the faster people figure this out and QUIT going, the faster Disney will come around and be what Walt Disney meant it to be "a happy place" that REALLY REALLY cares about you, not just the $$ it generates.

PLEASE DON'T GO TO DISNEY, TAKE YOUR KIDS HIKING, TAKE THEM TO THE GRAND CANYON, TAKE THEM TO SEE THE BEAUT OF OUR NATIONAL PARKS, TAKE THEM ANYWHERE BUT TO DISNEY WHERE YOU WILL GO HOME BROKE, TIRED AND YOUR KIDS WILL FORGET ABOUT IT IN A WEEK!!

If anyone has the address of anyone "BIG" at Disney that I could write to I would appreciate it. I want them to know how much they have hurt my children (yes, they had to buy the expensive tickets which they didn't budget for) and their trip is pretty much down the drain once again. Someone needs to know this is happening and hopefully American will wake up and smell the outside world of nature instead the pricey hot dogs and crap at Disney.

I could go on and on but I don't have the time or space. Please, please think twice before you go to Disney World, they care only about your $$ bottom line....

How was Disney to blame for the Hurricane?

I know the Disney company makes alot of special effects, but the hurricane should be to blame for your inability to use the tickets, not Disney! Oh, and by the way, you were not the only person to be inconvenienced by the hurricane, I'll bet. If others could find a way to be satisfied through the Disney corporation, why couldn't you? Why would you call and stay on hold for 30 minutes when you could write to Disney (their corporate address is online; if you could find Ripoff Reports, chances are really good you could find corporate customer service for Disneyworld.) Explain the situation. I'll bet dollars to donuts they'd make you happy - but that's IF you're telling the truth and the whole truth here. If there's more to the story, then maybe they have a side not represented here. Additionally, YOU made the reservations for breakfast and didn't want to use the tickets to get in. You left the tickets in your room. Your own actions caused you to be late for your reservations; to expect Disney to seat you as royalty, and not cater to the rest of the guests who were there on time is unreasonable. I love Disney. Sorry you had a bad time, but it is not their fault, and as far as I know, you can't sue Mother Nature.
