Dive West ripped me off by forcing me to pay $46.61 in shipping charges by refusing to give me a Scubapro X650/Mark 25 regulator system that I had already paid in full for.

My wife and I were Dive Leaders with Dive West and Scubapro offered all Dive Leaders through Dive West special pricing in order to promote Scubapro Dive Gear to students of Dive West. I ordered a Ladyhawk and a Nighthawk Buoyance Compensators along with a X650/Mark25 Regulator system. I paid by check the price Dive West said I owed for these items and was told I could pick up the BC's in a couple of weeks but the Regulator would not be available for a month or so. I was given the BC's when Dive West received them with no mention that there were any shipping charges due.

While waiting on the regulator, life events occurred that caused my wife and I to decide not to be Dive Leaders any longer. We contacted Dive West to see if they would give us a number to contact Scubapro or have them to contact Scubapro for us to see if we could return the BC's and cancel the order on the Regulators or if Dive West would take everything back for a refund to us. We were told that policy prevented Dive West from permitting us to contact Scubapro and that they would only be interested in taking back the regulator which Dive West was not authorized by Scubapro to sell at that time. I informed Dive West that I was only interested in returning all of the items or none at all.

When I went to pick up the Regulator, I was told that it had been sold. I required them to replace it and was then told I could not have it until shipping costs for the two BC that I had already gotten and the regulator was paid for in cash.

I contend that if there were shipping cost involved that I owed, I should have been notified at the time I purchased the items and wrote a check for the merchandise, not months latter or after I was given the BC and not told that shipping charges were due. I feel that Dive West is extorting additional money from me by holding the regulator from me.
