Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Sept 10th, 2008 I gave D&J Auto, of Richmond, IN, $150 for a wiper transmission. I waited patiently for the part because I was reassured it would only take 5 business days to get here at max.

Two weeks later I received the wrong part. I called them back and got nothing but a rude older lady. After explaining my case to her, she told me she would get back to me about them picking up my received part. 3 days later i called them back. No one had even heard about my situation. 3 days after that i got a knock on my door from the ups guy. he took there part and gave me a tracking number. so 1 month after i gave them my money still no part.

8 more days go by with repeated attempts to get a hold of someone who knew what was going on. finally on the eighth day i call and get a lady that barely speaks English. When i asked to speak to someone else she accused me of being racist, which i am far from. i continued to talk to her and tried to figure everything out, for as she claimed she was the owner's wife. After trying to find out what happened to my part or my money, she insisted that i hang up and wait for a call back (which is what I've heard before) after refusing to hang up, and insisting on figuring out the problem right then (after all she did say she was the owners wife and quote "the wife of the owner can run the store too") so i figured i best stay on the phone with her while i have the chance. after insisting on getting some reimbursement for the trouble and or the money back, she disagreed and said i will call later. after threatening to complain to the B.B.B. she lightened up and said she would give me a refund.

3 days later on October 15th still no refund.

Also because they sent me the wrong part, when i took mine off to put their new part on, i left it all disassembled after i figured out it wouldn't work at all. in the amount of time it took them to answer the phone, it had rained 3 times. with the part out it caused a hole in my firewall (bad design on Audi's part) but this hole left me with an inch of water on my driver's side floor pan. this water caused my modules under my seat to fry, which when i got them fixed (doing ALL the work myself) cost a total of $850.00 just in the parts (which i definitely didn't buy from D&J). if D&J had their $h!t together this would have never happened... all in all D&J cost me $1,000 and 17 hours of labor ill never get back outta my life...

NEVER BUY OR EVEN DEAL WITH D&J Auto Parts, or life will be H3LL!!!

also their toll free number is 877-846-1"666" should have noticed the bad omen.

These people clearly don't how to run a business. THEY STEAL MONEY!!!

Internet business pays $3,600 in refunds

Wayne Co. resident returns consumers' money after attorney general's investigation

Wayne County Internet seller Kumara Jayasuriya, also known as Jay Smith, has issued 10 consumer refunds totaling $3,649 and is required to comply with Indiana law in all future transactions.

The Wayne Circuit Court approved an agreement that requires the refunds after the attorney general investigated complaints that consumers paid for auto parts and did not receive their items in a timely fashion or received incorrect or defective auto
parts.

The court's order names Smith individually and doing business as D & J Auto Parts, 1234 S. 9th St. in Richmond.

"Internet businesses that offer products online are obligated just like any other merchant to deliver products in a timely manner," Attorney General Steve Carter said. "We will aggressively pursue bad Internet sellers.
It's important that consumers can shop with confidence when they are making online purchases."

The number for D & J Auto Parts was disconnected as of Thursday afternoon.

From 2004 to 2006, Smith would respond to consumers who posted messages on part locator Web sites with offers to sell them
the part they needed. Approximately 20 consumers complained to the attorney general that they either did not receive the product in a timely manner or received a defective product.

Some of the consumer complaints were resolved through refunds, chargebacks or shipment of the items prior to the
court's order.

Wrong Part was Ordered

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, January 31, 2009

This lady doesn't have a clue of what she is doing. Not only she ordered the wrong part, but also she refuse to admit she ordered the wrong part. When she called, we said we will ship her the right part. She said she didn't want the part any more. Didn't want to return the part we sent. We finally gave her money. Everything she said about us not responding to her calls is false. In addition, she left her window open and claims that because of D&J her ECU went bad. It is common sense to shut the windows when it is raining. At least put a plastic around it. Don't blame others for your __?_. We have been in business for over 10 years. We have sold over 10,000 used parts. There are thousands of happy customers. Any one who need references, please call us. We have hundreds of repeat customers. Anyone who is skeptical about our company, please don't buy from us. We take good care of our customers who are responsible and truthful.
