While shopping for a new Chevy Aveo for my daughter, I contacted Don Mallon Chevrolet in Norwich, CT through the cars.com website and requested a quote. Frank Brancato responded with a quote and I emailed back asking if the quoted price was the out-the-door price. Frank emailed back the actual out-the-door price as $13,459.60.

WE then visited Don Mallon Chevrolet to purchase the car. Dennis Perry handled our sale. After accepting a deposit from my daughters GM card Mr. Peery balked at the price that was given by the other salesman Frank saying that it was a mistake. I showed Mr Perry the confirmed email pricing from Frank (A real salesman for Don Mallon Chevrolet). On further review of the email it became evident that the car being offred to me was not at the dealership at all and that the car they had would be $115 more.

I reminded Mr. Perry that I had verified the price by email for the car and had even talek with him about by phone before coming to his dealership. His only other comment on the situation was that the email I had was a quote prompting me to ask him what he thought a quote was for?

Obviously the sale of this car is not going to happen and my intent is to warn other customers of Don Mallon Chevrolet.
