Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Owes over $14,500.00 in child support. He jumps state to state to avoid paying. My son is now 12 years old and has had no relationship with his Dad at all. He is remarried and has been for 10 years and has adopted his wife's 2 boys. How can you make 2 more your own when you can't tkae care of the only biological one that is yours? I hired an attorney and there is a body attachement isssued for him but Indiana won't extradite accross state lines for a body attachement. My local prosecutors office just sent out a wage garnishment to where they think he's employed. What good is that when all he'll do is change jobs and move to another state? It took my husband and I about 6 months to find him. The child support office wasn't even looking for him. He now knows how to file his Federal taxes so he only gets around 4400.00 back so that's what i get a year to help take care of my son on. This child is 12 and is involved in numerous sports, band, etc.

If I were on welfare I bet they would go after him! If i could pesonally bring him back to this state i'd hire a bounty hunter but the prosecutors office said that that would be considered kidnapping. How do people get away with this?

Well guys the idiot moved back to where I live and actually saw me driving down the road and turned around and followed me..right to the police station!!! Can you believe that? The best part of it all is that while I was in the police station trying to hurry the police on pulling up the body attachment...the jerk actually hit my husband with his car!!! Hard enough that it spun him around and knocked him to the ground. He then drove away!! But being the idiot he is..he came back.Aww what satisfaction to see his face when they told him he was under arrest for failure to pay child support. He didnt get in any trouble though for hitting my husband with his car. The police said that my husband was standing in front of his car to prevent him from leaving! Can you believe that? I wish my ex would be "standing" in front of my car some day lol. Anyhow he spent 4 days in court and then the judge let him out on $500.00!! Can you believe that? We go back to court on Sept 27th. He still has made no contact to see our son either and now only lives 5 mins from us!!

the best part about using a debt collection agency like

is that you do not need a lawyer. They do all the work and you are not charged anything until they get you money. The fee is $500 is they get you anything and 35% of everything after that. Not too shabby when you consider what you are paying a lawyer (who doesn't really make much leeway). BUT< you need to send in the COURT ORDERED child support order and they take over from there. I, personally, was amazed at how quickly they found the ex and made him start paying. Good luck By the way, I have been told that in Indiana you can collect arrears child support long after the child reaches 18. They must pay up in full. It has worked in our case quite well.

I feel like my county prosecutors office could care less

Thanks for the information. This is so frustrating. I feel like my county prosecutors office could care less. Thay said that since he didn't owe me $15,000.00 that they couldn't proceed with criminal charges. My attorney said that they are the ones who have to file the criminal complaint against him that he can't. So instead of waiting the 2 weeks to get to that amount they are trying to garnish his wages. I think he's proven that he isn't going to pay. All he'll do now is work at the same job for about 6 months then find another so I'll have to go through this all over again. Thanks for the name of someone that might be able to help me. I actually made a mistake in teh amount of his incoma taxes. I get about$400.00 a year and thats it. It's obvious that it costs a lot more to support a 12 year old boy then that. Like I said, if I were on gov. assistance I bet they would go after him. Since I'm a nurse and can take care of him on my own I guess it's ok for him not to pay.

My daughter was in a similiar situation just a few years ago. If you have COURT ORDERED child support you can contact a company such as childsupport.com (there are others) who for 35% of what you are owed, will find the ex and slap a court order on him.

I finally convinced my daughter after 16 years of no child support and absolutely no help from the prosecutors office to do this. 65% of $65,000 (which was what was owed her at the time) is much better than 100% of nothing.

To her suprise she filled out their paperwork and within a month had $3,000 and is still receiving 105.00 every 2 weeks. She was in Indiana and he was in Texas. He quits his job and they find him and make him catch up on payments if any were missed. He is so mad that he finally had to pay. Also, in the state of Indiana they charged him interest on the 16 years of missed payments. Child is now 25 and he is STILL paying. Yeah!!!
