We were confused in the beginning of our daughters career in modeling. After several years of being ripped off over and over again, we finally realized how it truly works if you want to do it right and most importantly, SAFE. AMTC is one of the largest organizations where models and actors attend to have an opportunity to actually see and feel what the "Big-Time" models and actors go through and to be able to actually meet or get their portfolio to the real-deal companies that do hire talent. It is rare to get a call-back on the first visit, however if you do, you may have what that particular agency needs for their customer. Donna Groff's agency prepares models, actor, & even vocalist on how to prepare for and excel in applying and actual auditioning. So many great performers and models are passed up because they did not know how to properly audition and or apply for a career in their trade. Her agency does charge for her services just as anyone who teaches Piano or gives vocal / acting lessons. As any agency would expect a small commission if signed, however they have never required it. They have prepared many talented individuals for events that have successfully been signed by an Agency that took them to the final step of employment. She does not employ talent, she prepares and instructs individuals on how to prepare and assists them at accrediated events like AMTC. (Actors Models & Talent for Christ.) Years ago when my daughter reached out to Disney to be an actress, I was shocked that they responded to her and that they only accept talent from non-sexual and explicit organizations and must have the same in their Agent. For that very reason, we ended up finding Donna Groff and ended up with 9 call-backs at our 1st AMTC event. Yes, you will pay up front for someone who knows all the big and respected agencies that employ talent. Not many agents have their own modeling contest that at their own expense, bring in the respected agancie to Memphis & or Little Rock, in order to mock the main event like AMTC, but also give her talented clients a special in person contact with the Agents who also help and provide a scholarship for the winner of the event along with other exciting specials. The Peabody in Memphis Tn is where the annual events happen during the month of November. So in closing, since I have been interrupted three times while trying to type this message, if you do not wish to pay upfront and prefer to just get paid directory by an agency, then Donna Groff agency is not your choice. Hopefully you are seasoned and know everything and everyone in the industry like she is. Then you can go direct, otherwise you might need to be a bit humble and pay for an Agancy that can and will prepare you for success. She has proven herself year after year with signed talent over and over. Donn Groff Models and Talent are everywhere. Donna is truly the stepping stone to success. She does not hold a grudge, so if you want your child to succeed and you do not have all of the above, you might want to call her back and start over. While I do admit their office helpers need better communication skills, it is worth the outcome of her services. You are paying for her and you get her and her knowledge one-on-one. You will succeed with her on your team.

As a Christian-based model and talent agency, we are thankful to have developed, marketed and placed, with integrity, talented performers for over 20 years. Through the grace of God, and diligent training, our talent has succeeded in modeling, acting, singing and dancing all over the world. While our approach is not the only way to enter this industry, we have found it to be the safest and most effective way for our treasured young people. All of our fees and policies are reasonable, published, and well within industry standards. I hope the best success for Ms. H and her child. If anyone has any questions about the Donna Groff Agency, please feel free to attend one of our courtesy auditions or contact us at 901-854-5561.

You did the right thing by leaving when you did. You should not have been asked to pay money up front. That is a MAJOR RED FLAG. This business will make a profit either way it seems. Whether you get placed or not. Especially with you having to use their photographers and pay to go to Florida and pay up front for the Conference. I believe it is all connected. I believe it is all one business that is set up to be deceptive and to extort money from people.
When I hear of people getting desperate and doing these types of underhanded businesses I get so angry but that is the nature of the world we live in now. These so called "Business People" falsely believe that people will believe them more if they dress up and say they have a "business" when in fact they are crooks and con artists.
Thanks for posting this and letting me know to make sure I avoid these crooks!
