I have filed a report on this site about Douglas Nissan as well. http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=171256 To the employee above, many of your suggestions are correct, but you work for an unethical dealership. Not just a dealership that has unethical employees you don't know about, but the dealership itself.

First of all let me say that I do not work in Sales at Douglas Nissan. I am a manger in a non sales department but I have worked in sales before. The number one complaint I see here from people when it comes to car sales is "pushy salesman" or "rude salesman" .... people we are not the only show in town. If you are willing to fork over 10's of thousands of dollars to someone you deem rude then who is the ignorant one? I know when I was buying a house I crossed off every realtor that I thought was too arrogant or more concerned with their commission than my hapiness. No car dealership is perfect. Yes, you will have some people who lie or misrepresent vehicles or themselves but people are the same where ever you go. The most important thing is buyer beware. You have to know that no dealership is going to sell cars "2000 below invoice" or "pay off all your debt" or anything else to sell you a car. We are in business to make money ... as simple as that. You then close your letter saying to go to another Nissan dealership to get an honest deal. That statement is the absolute epitome of ignorance. The only way you will get a "deal" is if you educate yourself as a buyer. Go into the dealership knowing what you will pay and what you will put down on a car. If they are not willing to do it then leave. I am sure you work too hard for your money to leave it up to someone giving you a "deal". One last thing to remember never try and negotiate with a salesman. This is what they do for a living... you may buy a car once every few years but they sell them daily. YOU WILL LOSE! Lay down your price and don't give in. That is the only way you will be happy with your purchase. I am sorry you feel like you were ripped off and I hope you are happy with your Nissan regardless of where you purchased it.
