Over 6,000 cases not followed up by Arizona CPS and you hold Dr. Hickie out as worthless. Arizona CPS is the worthless agency putting all of these children at risk and must be held accountable for its failures. Hmmm....wonder if those cases reported by Dr. Hickie should have been dropped? Wonder how many kids were in fact put in even more danger because those cases were dropped by an agency much deservedly now under investigation.
Amen for Dr. Hickie doing what is right protecting our children! And shame on you for being so misguided and hateful.

I am writing this rebuttal in support of Dr. Chris Hickie, who has been involved in child advocacy issues on the internet for several years.
Dr. Hickie is among a small cadre of doctors, nurses, scientists, researchers, science bloggers and child advocates who post on the internet about the value of complete and timely immunizations against serious, sometimes deadly, vaccine-preventable-diseases, following the CDC/AAP Recommended Childhood Vaccines Schedule. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable about those vaccines and has been very active within the Pima County community to educate parents about those vaccines.
In my opinion, a complaint made years ago by an anonymous parent of a patient because Dr. Hickie followed the law to report an instance of suspected child abuse/neglect, should be removed from your website. I am also a "mandated reporter" (Registered Nurse) who adheres to the law governing my nursing practice. I would hope that you consider my request to remove this complaint from your website, because it penalizes a physician who is a child advocate and who followed medical ethics by filing a report about a suspected case of child abuse/neglect.

You may be unhappy at what happened with this doctor, but if he did not report his concerns, as required by law, and there was true abuse or neglect, he could be jailed. I suspect, like most doctors, this physician was simply doing his job. Plus your threat is rather thinly veiled, making me suspect that he was justified in reporting you if you would actually threaten his family, who have nothing to do with his practice.

I find it hard to believe a doctor would call CPS without good reason. There are 3 sides to every story. The doctors side, your side, and the truth. What happened??
