Help me judge!!! Go to the link, http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbayBeta&gbh=1&rand=570563986.

I thought I was buying 14+ software packages and getting "14 FREE SOFTWARE & STREAM PACKAGES." All backed up with a "100% satisfaction guaranteed" promise. By all appearances I would not be buying links, link to links and " cheap" ebooks." I had the overall impression that I was buying a one stop, software solution to plugging into satellite t.v.

What I received initially was a main product url link that was identified by 3 different browsers as " Non existent, 10 web links that led to free services related to satellite movies and t.v. and another "Serial Number Link" that was also identified as " non existent by 3 different servers.

After inquiring and following the sellers instructions and failing several times to open the main link the seller suggested I download different browsers, rar files and winrar. To no avail.

The seller than sent me an ebook to replace the software program/solution(?) and that was loaded with more free internet links that led to links that led to links... and endless time consuming downloads to access movies and t.v. Not to mention poor quality!!

I than complained and requested my money back. Part of his response was " Now you get to keep all of my products and get a refund? There is no way possible to return a digital download. All links will continue to work for you even after I refund your money. That is not fair to the seller." He refused and now I own links to links. Products? What products? Oh links!! I get it

O.K. even if I misconstrued the ad, again, please go to the link and help me judge, was this advertising designed to mislead? Is it deceptive? Am I just STUPID (Be gentle). Do I deserve a refund? Am I unfairly judging this ad and the intent to deceive? Should I just swallow the monetary loss and my family will starve (humor!) or should I provoke consumers and watchdog groups to inundate this seller with letters of protest and lets all expose him? Hint hint. Or should I just allow the pay Pal complaint process take it's course and let the chips fall where they may?

It is no longer the loss of a few dollars but the principal. What does the several Gold Seals on his ad imply? 100% satisfaction? Part of his response to my complaint states that he can't guarantee a digitally delivered product because I can't return it. I see that nowhere in his ad.

I will keep you posted as the complaint with Pay Pal advances or if the seller decides to refund my money.

This week Pay Pal decided in favor of the seller. Their explanation was The item violates the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy. It's ineligible for PayPal Buyer Protection." They don't mention or acknowledge that the seller may have deceptive advertising, only that his product isn't protected and I don't expect or intend to continue seeking monetary reimbursement. The last email from this seller led me to the very first BOLD print at the top of his advertisement that probably allowed him and may continue to allow him to mention freeware from the start in a brief disclaimer but also allow him to be deceptive in the remainder of the long ad that suggests it is computer software that comes along with the freeware. I also made a complaint to eBay and have not received a response in 5 days. I will keep you posted as I continue to seek a remedy of getting this type of ad off eBay.
