STAY AWAY. I'd like to start by saying that I have never written a bad review before, but this HAD to be done.

For the last year I made the mistake of renting a property that was "managed" by Drouin Realty. This cute little duplex was perfect for my two roommates and I. Day 2: cockroaches. We contacted the landlords who proceeded to say it was our fault and we needed to clean more. We had only been there one day! When we finally got them to come out they gave us a bottle of insecticide and explained to us how to apply it ourselves. Seriously?

Throughout our whole stay it was impossible to get ahold of the company. Susie and Ruby were always incredibly rude and would hang up on me, or tell me they'd call back and never do so. I.E. a closet door came off the tracks about 6 months into our year lease, and they NEVER took care of it. Our landlords would show up at the house unannounced or with only a few hours notice whenever they wanted, which we had asked them to stop doing. Never did.

Finally the year came to an end. We moved our things and got the place professionally cleaned. We asked for paint colors to patch nail holes and they wouldn't give them to us. They refused to do an initial walkthrough, which we were legally entitled to. 23 days after our walk-through they still hadn't refunded our deposit money, which is illegal. When I pointed this out they sent it out the next day. Convenient, right? Then they decided to keep over a third of our deposit for totally inappropriate things. (I'd also like to mention that I've rented several times and never lost more than $200 for basic touch-ups).

When the check showed up they had written one check to all three of us, knowing that it was uncashable. When I asked for a new check they made me jump through hoops to get documented consent, and then said they never received it. It was over a month before we finally had our money back (and still only 2/3 of it).

I had so many reasons to take them to court, but they knew I did not have the resources, and they took advantage of that fact. Horrible people, absolute crooks. And if anyone does not believe me or if they try to deny it, I have recorded phone calls to prove it!
