DS-MaxDS-Max ripoff, waste of time, money, effort, pyramid scheme. Nationwide
Reading about Blue Moon reminded me of my stint with DS/max. The company that drains your life blood as well as you pocket. Essentially you are a door to door sales person. You set up the area that you are going to (could be an hour away) and go door to door selling 50 cent items for $10. each And isn't it just JUICEY if you don't meet the sales quota??? You get chewed out like you're 5, and stole a cookie. And the meetings and the 6 days a week and the 12 hours a day and no money for gas, or mileage reimbursement. That's just juicey too.
And to top it all of, your an independant agent, so there's no health insurance, no paycheck, no taxes taken out. The meetings where you stand around and yell how JUICEY the whole program is, and how much money your gonna make when you finally get to open your own office. It was a fairy tale that I busted my a*s to, just get ends to meet, oh I got promoted, then I got to see the real bullshit. Fake checks for thousands of dollars laying around on the desk, people arrested for stealing, and getting hired back after the first wave of smart people left. It was just to incredable.
I could go on and on about what went on, but I hope you get the JUICEY picture. The day I quit was because the owner of the office promised all the team leaders a gas allowance if they met a certain sales number, this one kid busted his a*s, literally selling over $500. worth of crap. And get this, only the people above you made the money, that was real juicey. She wouldn't give him the bonus because he had to take Saturday off to go to his sister's wedding, he was an usher. How he kept from jumping over that table and not strangling her was beyond me. I at that point, knew I could never and would never, ever screw someone over like that. I walked out and never looked back. If you ever worked for DS/MAX, you know what all the JUICE bs is about.
