Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I am verry upset with the dunkin donuts in the neighborhood where i go to school. about 3-4 days out the week i go across the street from my school after i get out of class and get a coffee and study a little then do home. i have been doing this for the last two months with no problem.it seems that ever since the male emplyees of dunkin donuts have talked to be or flirted with me i've had problems with the manager who is female and happens to like the men who work for her in a physical way and has told them she dosen't like females( and has only 1 working for her and will not hire any more). so when i see her she's had a nasty attitude to me. and now she has told all the employees that I'M not to be in the store more than ten minutes. so i didn't belive them i puchased my coffee and donut and proceeded to study when the employee(who happens to like me) told me that his manager called and said that i had to leave or he'll get written up and loose his job. so i said i wasn't going anywhere. he then got loud cursing and then went and had the security gard of the building put me out. i told them i wasn't done with my food he said it didn't matter that i had to leave and could only stay for whatever amount of time they say. that's crazy so i still did not leave and they called the police and the police told me i can either leave or go to jail. i am highly pissed about this situation because i feel like i've been discriminated against and my rights have been violated because of her personal insecurities!!!!!. i need some advice on what to do because i don't want her to get away with this. who does she think she is?

Wow.  I can't believe I read that entire response above.  You are encouraging someone to use their race in order to make their argument more valid, without any evidence whatsoever as to the intention of the accused?

You are an absolutely disgusting individual.  You remind me of Adolf Hitler.  He had the same ideology.

Why are you Not COMPLAINING to Dunkin Donut Corporate about this?

Go on the Internet. Google Dunkin Donuts Corporate and go to their website. At the right bottom of the page, look for "About Us" and click on "Contact us" and you will see a gray box appear in the left hand corner. When you click on Contact Us you need to click on In Store Visit. You can send them an e-mail and THIS is HOW you do it. First of all, you fill out your information and then you make SURE you get the address and the store information. Most stores have a number and an address on the receipt and even a 1-800 number that you can all but you want to E-Mail this because some operator in a call center can accidentally hang up on you. Be SURE TO SPECIFY WHICH STORE IT WAS THAT DID THESE THINGS TO YOU! AND YOU NEED TO FIND OUT IF THE STORE IS OWNED BY DUNKIN DONUTS CORPORATE OR IF IT IS A FRANCHISE. IF IT IS OWNED BY DUNKIN DONUTS, YOU DO NOT TELL THEM ALL THE STUFF YOU DID IN THIS POSTING ABOUT WHAT THE MANAGER DID OR DID NOT DO. SHE COULD PROBABLY HAVE A THREE RING CIRCUS, STRIPPERS IN THE RESTROOMS AND PEOPLE TURNING TRICKS IN THE PREP AREA AND IF SHE IS MAKING MONEY FOR THEM,THEY DO NOT CARE! BASICALLY THEIR ONLY MORALITY IS THE BOTTOM LINE;IS SHE MAKING MONEY FOR THEM OR NOT? ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SAY THAT YOU WERE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF YOUR RACE AND YOUR ETHNICITY AND THAT YOU WERE RELUCTANTLY SERVED THEN THE MANAGER HAD THE SECURITY GUARD PUT YOU OUT AFTER THEY GOT YOUR MONEY AND IT WAS DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS AND NO ONE ELSE WANTED A TABLE.ALSO,IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANYONE ELSE OF YOUR RACE AND ETHNICITY IN THERE, BE SURE YOU TELL THEM THAT YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANYONE ELSE OF YOUR RACE OR ETHNICITY IN THERE AND YOU BELIEVE THEY ARE FOLLOWING EXCLUSION POLICIES AT THIS RESTAURANT BASED ON RACE AND ETHNICITY OF POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS AND POINT OUT THERE IS AN ECONOMIC DOWNTURN AND IF THEY DON'T WANT A FEDERAL CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR DISCRIMINATION LIKE DENNEY'S RESTAURANT HAD ( AND LOST MILLIONS OF DOLLARS), THEN PERHAPS THEY NEED TO REEVALUATE THIS MANAGER'S PRACTICES TOWARDS PAYING CUSTOMERS ANS PERHAPS SHE NEEDS TO BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER STORE WHERE HER WORKING ENVIRONMENT WILL NOT BE SUBJECTED TO CULTURAL, RACIAL AND ETHNIC DIVERSITY. OK, find out who the security guard is and contact the State Board that licenses private security companies in your state and tell them that this particular guard who works for this particular private security guard company was harassing you based on racial profiling and he was sexually harassing you too to the best of your knowledge and belief. You can call them or make the complaint in writing, sign it and date it and list the specific things he said and did and the times and the date and the location and I hope that you will include the name of his company and his name if you got it. ( Be sure and always get their name.) Then you call the security company and tell them that you wanted to complain about their security office who ( on this date, at this place and at this time racially profiled you without probable cause and discriminated against your equal rights to enjoy a coffee beverage and donuts like other patrons of the restaurants. They might or might not have an incident report that he or she filled out concerning that and if FOOL did NOT fill one out or document the incident of you being put out in ANY way and there was no surveillance camera that showed it, you can tell them you are considering a lawsuit against their company for the violation of your civil rights. Don't repeat the information, because they will write down the dates and have the stupid guard or someone else go back and write an incident report which they will claim was written by the guard that was on duty who threw you out. Tell them they will be hearing from your attorney and then hang up. Do not use a phone with a caller id. You have just gotten the company a BIG complaint and possibly fined and you have just gotten some GOOF in a polyester suit in a LOT of trouble. But wait, you aren't finished yet! If you find out that the Dunkin Donuts is a franchise, that means the real owner and person who can control what is going on in there is paying the Corporate office big bucks to use their name and equipment and recipes and they can't fire them or otherwise do very much to them and probably won't, you need to write to the Secretary of State who licenses corporations because this store (IF IT IS A FRANCHISE will be owned by a corporation because the person wants to protect himself/herself from losing all their money if they get sued.) You want to file an Open Record request which has to be in writing ( save a copy of your letter) and you want to know who owns this store franchise and give the name of the store and its location. Sometimes, the name of the franchise owner will be posted IN the store, LOOK FOR IT. I believe you will want a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and a list of all stockholders and the board members. If you were not told in the presence of a peace officer not to return or enter the store again ( That is called being given a Criminal Trespass Warning) then either you or a friend needs to go back to that store and get this information. Most of it should be posted on the wall. The name of the security guard company can usually be found on the shoulder patch on the guard's shirt or jacket and he or she is supposed to have a name tag that has their first name initial and their FULL LAST NAME! You contact the person who is listed as the chairman of the board or the president or the owner of that Dunkin Donuts franchise store and tell them the same thing that you would have told Dunkin Donuts corporate. FORGET ABOUT ALL OF THE ALLEGED FUNNY BUSINESS, THIS IS NOT ABOUT SOMEBODY'S PERSONAL LIFE -- SHE CAN BE THE w***e OF BABYLON AND DO TABLE AND POLE DANCES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORE FOR ALL THEY CARE -- KEEP IT TO WHAT REALLY MATTERS AND THAT IS AVOIDING A POSSIBLE DISCRIMINATION LAWSUIT. UNLESS THIS IS A FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESS AND THIS MANAGER IS PART OF THE FAMILY, SHE SHOULD BE GONE. AND WHILE YOU ARE AT IT, IF THIS IS A 24-HOUR DUNCAN DONUTS AND YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYBODY CLEANING ANYTHING IN THERE, LIKE SANITIZING THE TABLES BETWEEN CUSTOMERS AND FILTHY RESTROOMS IN THERE, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CALL YOUR CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND TELL THEM THEY NEED TO CHECK IT OUT BECAUSE YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC. OK THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE. I DO NOT LIVE IN YOUR STATE AND I DON'T KNOW THE LAWS. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A LAWSUIT AGAINST THESE PEOPLE, YOU NEED TO SHOW THIS TO AN ATTORNEY WHO IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN YOUR STATE AND WILL KNOW BETTER THAN ME WHAT TO DO. IF YOU ARE A MINOR, YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR PARENTS WHAT HAPPENED AND THAT THEY NEED TO SUE BECAUSE YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS WERE VIOLATED. GOOD LUCK.

How long were you studying while enjoying the coffe & doughnut? The store is open to make money and they do that by having the tables available for customers. If you were buying a coffe & doughnut and then using a table for more than a half hour, I can understand why they said ten minutes. Buy your stuff and go set outside or in the library.

WHAT right did they violate? Ther is not Constitutional right to assemble at a donut shop. Also, I think you need to spend a little more time in English class and a little less time eating donuts and getting in a snit about little things. Your grammar is awful. Do you not know how to make a capital letter on the computer? Grow up.

Although it stinks the way you were treated I do not understand why you would actually want to study at a place that treats you this way. Actually every business has the right to say who they service and who they do not. You can not make them serve you. In fact they do not even have to sell you anything if they so choose. It is their right as the manager of that particular establishment to say who they serve and who they do not. I did the same thing as a college student , so I get why you enjoy your coffee while you study, but they on the other hand can choose to say who they serve. It is the along the same lines as "no shoes, no shirt, no service".
