In December 2014 I  purchased  couch  at a nearby furniture store.  I  wanted to finance 1/2 of the amount of the couch  which was 350.00. Duvera would not finance anything under 375.00.   I was charged 189.00% interest with 12 payments of 66.80.  I didn't realize it until recently because at the time  iI was not well and had been without  sofa for 1 . 1/2 yrs and needed one.  How  dare them rip people off  and  take advantage. If I pay it off now it will cost me 280.00.  Total of 1100+.   Do not use them.

If you read the complaint  again I never said I was not to blame. I should have read the contract more clearly. It is the fact that ANY establishment would charge 189 % interest.  That is a RIPOFF.  You must work for them!!!

It's All Their Fault, Isn't It?

In order to complete this transaction, you had to sign a contract.  The terms and conditions governing this transaction were spelled out for you in that contract including total interest, total number of payments, length of contract and amount of each payment.  When presented with such a contract, a SMART CONSUMER reads the contract and the terms BEFORE agreeing to them!  What you've just told the world is you didn't even bother to read what you were signing but you come here to cry and whine how THAT is all THEIR fault.  It doesn't take much effort to sit in a chair and take a few minutes to read those terms so don't pull out the "illness" sympathy card.

Oh yes, let me save you the effort...don't bother writing back, "you must work for them" because I don't!
