I too ordered a DVD set from the dvdplanet for a Christmas gift. I ordered The Carol Burnett show set at the cost of $69.99. I ordered on Dec. 2, 2007. I received an email stating it had been shipped on Dec. 9, 2007. I received a tracking number (CX229002048CA) that was a fake. I emailed the company inquiring about my shipment and was told I would receive between the 21-23. After still not receiving I emailed again. I was told if I didn't receive by the 27th to let them know. I did receive a package on the 26th.

Upon investigating for a company phone number I came upon this site. I now knew that this company was a fraud because all the stories were the same as mine. I emailed them and told them I no longer needed the DVD's as a gift and I wanted to return for a refund. I was told to go ahead and "keep the DVD's" because of the delay and that my order had been cancelled. This showed me that these DVD's were of no value and they were trying to get me to keep them so they wouldn't have to refund. I have already contacted my bank, cancelled my credit card and filed a fraud dispute.

I did return the DVD's to the address on the package (DVD Collections, 250 The East Mall, Suite 1242, Toronto, ON M9B 6L3) via registered mail. This cost me another $17.00 but I want proof that I returned the unopened package.

When I would try to track the package via the tracking number it showed that the package was undeliverable to a different zip code than mine and returned to sender. But I did receive a package. how could that be? When I questioned dvdplanet about the tracking number I was told that two packages had been sent out and the first was sent to the wrong address. What a bunch of crap!

They are claiming they will work quickly with my bank regarding the dispute.

All I can do now is wait to hear from my bank after investigation these rip off artists. Stay away from this company. to all of you already involved I hope we can get some justice.
