We purchased a vacation package: Three nights and four days in Orlando, cruise and stay to Bahamas three night four days. When we got to Orlando we were told Dynasty went bankrupt and if we would go to a 90 minute tour we could stay at a participating hotel or resort. Also, when we arrived at Ft.Lauderdale to get our tickets for the cruise, we were informed, after 2 hours waiting to board the ship, that our confirmations were not valid and that our tickets had never been purchased. We were forced to purchase the tickets then again to board the ship to finish our vacation. We were told to report this and try to be reimbursed for our troubles.

I am a previous employee of Dynasty Vacations/Dynasty Travel/Dynasty Getaways. Every time they get into trouble, they change their name. I was resposible for sending letters from the owner to the better business bureau begging them to put in a good word for the company. I was treated poorly because I couldn't, morally, sit there and milk people for every dime they had, just so I could make commission and keep the company in business. Some may say I am bitter, but I chose to end my employment with the company. The cruise on the Discovery Cruise Ship from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Grand Bahama Island costs no more than $100 for adults. The hotels in Orlando, Daytona and Ft. Lauderdale are all time shares and most of the hotels in the Bahamas are as well. The average trip to the Bahamas for a married couple over the age of 25, is $208 for Dynasty. They pay $99 pp for the cruise, and $5 pp fuel surcharge. They don't pay for the hotel stay if you stay at the Xanadu because it's a time share. Those are the prices when I worked there. You can go to the websites for the individual hotels and look at the prices for their rooms. Beware before you book a vacation through this company. They are so hardpressed for money that when I left, they tried to keep my paycheck. I had to get a lawyer and threaten them with taking them to court before I got any money from them.

Update, Dynasty Vacations not affiliated

#6Consumer Suggestion

Thu, August 29, 2002

I called a phone number that was given from a previous report, 1-301-515-1100, and found out that this company is handling all vacation packages that were purchased by Dynasty International. The name of this company is called Dynasty Vacations, and according to their website they are not affiliated with Dynasty International. The address is 15420 Comus Road, Boyds, Maryland, 20841. I was told that there is no expiration on the package I purchased from Dynasty International. Anyone interested in using their vacation packages should try giving them a call. I have not used mine yet but I plan on doing so some time in the next few months. I will update this as soon as I do. Good Luck!
