Dear fellow consumers and travelers,

My mom transferred my family a 3 night Orlando/3 night Daytona package recently. She owns two time shares and we use them frequently. I called E Tour to make our reservations and the challenges insued. They informed me that there would be a 90 min presentation not only in Orlando, but one 3 days later in Daytona. I called my mom to let her know that this was not a package she bought outright like she was told. She swore that she paid for it and there was no disclosure of time share presentations.

Regardless, I thought we could still go down and enjoy it. We were told that we would have to upgrade for a 2 bedroom. $39 more per night in both locations. The 90 min presentation turned into over 2 hours of hard selling and multiple people trying to close the deal when I said no. After all that, I was given the two Universal two day passes they promised. I ASSUMED that those tickets could be used at both Universal parks. Upon purchasing passes for my three kids and two days worth of meal passes, I was informed at the Universal gate that my two tickets from etour were only good at Universal Studios. Day 1 consisted of Universal Studios which was not the best park for kids.

The following day was going to be Universal Islands of Adventure. I tried to have the problem corrected with E Tour who issued the vouchers the first time. They told me that they could not upgrade them in ticket form, only voucher form. Are you kidding me? Why didn't you tell me this yesterday. She was not helpful at all and frankly could have cared less. I called Universal Guest Relations myself and they said they could give me a refund for my meal tickets. So we went to Unversal to try and salvage what we had left and the wonderful, helpful attendant at Guest Services took our meal tickets and transferred them to the upgrade for the difference to Islands of Adventure.
