Eagle Van Lines Matan Ben-David, Ashlan Gipson, R & L Movers Absolute move from hell - rip off artists! Internet
This company was horrendous. My move was from Missouri to NC - they picked up my stuff end of September, 2011. First - the original quote was $1500. After items were placed on the truck I was handed an invoice for $3500 EXTRA! Then I received multiple excuses why they could not deliver. Michelle - the customer service person - was HORRIBLE - attitude and I was constantly hung up on. After WEEKS of being put off about delivery - I was told that Eagle Van Lines was out of business and now all my belongings were in the control of R & L movers, also out of Houston. I incurred the same excuses - can't find paperwork, can't meet with supervisors, no delivery date can be scheduled. Thea at R & L was also horrible. FINALLY tracked down my belongings - they dumped them into a storage unit in Houston!!!! I had to go pick up my stuff and move it myself! The items were thrown into a huge unit with probably 10 other family's belongings. One box was found - they were packing my kitchen for me - they packed my kitchen in a huge WARDROBE box with nothing wrapped and the box unidentified as mine! So - they STOLE approximately $3500 from me for the sole pleasure of moving it 5 hours out of my way. These people are con artists and should be avoided at all costs. If you hear the names Eagle or R & L - RUN!!!! They will steal from you!
