Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My wife and I just moved to Arizona about a month and a half ago. We went to several car dealerships and the sales staff did not impress us at all. We finally ended up at Earnhardt. We first noticed the "top security prison style" dealership they had. Not knowing the area, we didn't think anything of it. Our sales person was kind and willing to work with us.

After we purchased the vehicle, we wanted some things done to it. We got a work order from out sales person and scheduled to get the work done. Roger, the service tech, did nothing but give my wife grief about the items that needed to be fixed. As soon as I talked to him he did not give me grief and got the work done.

I hope this is not the way they deal with their female customers. I am beginning to suggest they do. We get the work completed, we went on our merry way and noticed the check engine light on.

I again call Roger and explain to him the check engine light was on. He said bring it in on Friday at 8 am. This to me is a scheduled time to bring the car in to be fixed. My wife brings the car in and Roger said that it is going to cost us to get fixed.

My wife said "No, my husband spoke to you and you said that it is something that the service individuals might have tripped up while they were fixing the hood release."

My wife fought with Roger to have it looked at. After sitting around for 2 hours, my wife got up and asked if the car was finished. They went and got Roger again and he did not know that she was sitting there waiting after my wife told him that she was going to be waiting.

There were several individuals, either elder in age or female, having problems getting anything accomplish in the servicing department. My wife finally said, "Give me my keys and I want your service managers name and number." She got the keys and walked to her car with Earnhardt Service employees not saying, "I'm sorry", "Have a good day", nothing.

The bottom line is: DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM EARNHARDT. IF I HAVE TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN AGAIN TO GET SERVICED, THEY CAN KEEP THE G*D D**N P**CE OF S**T AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

I spoke to the Service manager and he said that he will assign us to a different service tech and he will take care of us. He was very friendly and looked forward to meeting us. I am sure that everything will get taken care of this time. Correction from original report: 1. Roger stated that it could have been an electrical problem or a cap open that caused the check engine light to remain on and the temperature staying at cold, but did not mention to me that it would cost anything. This replaces the sentence,"my service individuals tripped up while fixing the hood release." I thought he had said that because it was co-incidental that there was a problem with the check engine light after the car had been repaired. 2. I apologize to the readers of the original letter. I am an idiot when it comes to cars. I am just tired of being promised things and being disappointed.
