I too have had my engine rebuilt by Eastcoast Outboard and have nothing but praise for them. After rebuilding my motor it was returned to me and I forgot to add oil to the gas. They sent me papers saying to do so and their warranty does not cover it. Needless to say my engine lasted all of 5 minutes on the water. I called them back and after talking with them they said that they would rebuild it again for just parts. I delivered it to them and took my boat to them to install for me. Long trip but it was worth it. I at that time informed them of this report on their company and they were as shocked as I was. I was then shown a paper where Jimmy recieved the money to start his company for a percentage of ownership. He then decided not to pay. I also was shown where a man purchased a motor from outboardrebuild and wanted to pay for it on a credit card. Jimmy could not run a credit card so he called Eastcoast. They ran it sent him his money and 2 months later the gentelman is back charging the card for a motor he did not recieved. Jimmy paid some of it but not all of it back. His own kin warned the owners not to do business with him but he looked at the good in people. I met the families of these people and they are not the people that is described here. I ask that you call and get references just as I did. These people are not trying to scam anyone if you have a problem with them work it out with them not trying to make someone else look good when you dont have all the answers. Also his employees are certified mechanics and after talking with them you will be impressed. I think what you are writing is to build up a company that is in conflict with your friends. I hope others see this as well. Thomas Laws.
