Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My BF wanted to rebuild his credit and not use a "buy here, pay here" service. His credit isn't the greatest, but it's not the worst. He does have a ding, including a previous car that was a charge off (but has since had a high dollar car loan paid in full as agreed, which offsets the prior).

He called and said he needed to get a work truck -- that he had a job and also a business, of which he earns more than the already great paying job. They told him to bring in all of his income and business documents and a P&L statement from Quickbooks.

Upon arriving, he brought a credit report for himself printed that day. He informed them that he wanted some reassurances that they at least thought they could help him before pulling his credit report.

They informed him that they had to use their software and pull a report. In their defense, that is fair enough. BUT THEN THE SALESMAN LIED AND SAID THAT "MORTGAGE INQUIRIES AND AUTO LOAN INQUIRIES DO NOT AFFECT YOUR CREDIT SCORE!" That is 100% a lie and I even jokingly said "hey, I'll start telling my clients that lie, too!" He sighed and said something nasty under his breath; he knew he was busted.

The manager comes back and shows my BF his probability score for getting a car. It's not great, but I've gotten a brand new car with worse credit from a regular dealer.

Suddenly the business info is not enough, even though he brought everything he was told to. When he mentioned that it would be used as a work truck, the manager said "I can't sell you a car. You just told me it was for commercial purposes." BS! During the VERY FIRST inquiry to Easterns, it was stated that it would be a work vehicle. Why is it now an issue? My BF had to "reword his statement" in order to get the manager to continue. In essence, since it was "fraud" to sell a vehicle for commercial use, the manager was committing fraud by continuing to negotiate after knowing it was a work vehicle.

Now the BF needs a cosigner, a down payment, 8 bazillion bank statements, etc. in order for Easterns to do anything. Suddenly, his job is not his credit. Ironic.

We left. I bought a car with worse credit using my signature.

It's a scam.

He has a part-time job that pays him about 35k a year for weekends. He also has his own business that earns him about 50k a year for weekday. It's all documented with bank statements, etc.

There is absolutely no reason why he couldn't walk out of there with a car without a cosigner. He has a great job that could be used as "his credit" like the commercial states. Additionally, he has a business that gives him great cash flow above and beyond the job.

And his credit score isn't that bad. Like I said, I've bought a brand new car, 100% financing, with negative equity attached to the top with nothing more than my signature on an application with worse credit.

Stay away from Easterns. They just bad news! And considering we were told two VERY BOLD lies in less than a half hour should be enough to keep you away. They're willing to commit fraud. Do you want to buy from a company like that?

my experience with them wasn't quite as bad. They would not tell me the price of a car I was interested in before I started filling out paperwork. No problem, I would just do the math backwards when they told me the payment. Once they told me the payment on a 2001 Chrysler 300m, I calculated the price of the car to be 16K. I looked at the salesman and asked him to his face "you guys are on crack right?" Needless to say, I left having wasted about an hour or so, but it was worth it to see their faces when i asked them the crack question.

Hey same thing happened to me at Leesburg VA and Frederick MD Easterns. I am thinking the way they are getting people loans is by lying to the lenders. If you dont mind, please tell me where you got a loan with bad credit and only your signature? Email me butterflycrissy @ comcast.net
