It appears obvious from the foreign website illustrating the car and the language of the "Sgt" that the seller of the car (if it exists for sale) is someone whose native language is not English. It is also pretty obvious that he is not in the US Military. Secondly, Ebay doesn't use Western Union to wire money. If the person recieving it is a crook, the money is gone forever. Next time buy a car in the United States if you live there and physically view the car before buying it. A cheap airline ticket is far less expensive than the car.

I was looking in craigslist and found what seemed to be a good deal on a Nissan Murano 2005 for $5,700. The seller gave me this sad story on how she was trying to sell the vehicle because her husband cheated on her in this vehicle. Here is her reply: Hello and thanks for your interest in my 2005 Nissan Murano SE at 5,700 US Dollars. I don't ask to much for the car because I just want to get rid of it asap and since the b*****d cheated on me in this car i have decided to sell the car.. I'm looking for a new home and that's way i don't want to keep the car. I already found a home and with this financial crisis i don't have all the money once for the down payment. Currently the car is located in Elizabethtown, KY at the shipping company. There i lived with my ex-husband until i divorce. Now I am located in Annapolis, Maryland where i grow up. I'm very busy looking a home and with my new job and that's way i leave the car at the shipping company. The car it's in perfect condition, there's not even a scratch or any dents on it. Everything from the motor to the tires and mirrors is shining and looking brand new. I have a clear title for it, no liens or loans and never smoked in. The car has 59,310 miles, this is the VIN jn8az08t45w306863. I know that you want to see it before you buy it but I've done some research on the Internet and for that i found eBay Purchase Protection Program. If you are still interested in this transaction with me please let me know and i will explain the whole process. Best Regards First of all, this person needs to go back to school... I went ahead and played her game but this time I told her that my father lived in KY and that he would be picking the car up at the shipping yard and any cost cancelling the shipment through that company would be added to the price of the car. Here is what she repplied: It would be great but i'm at work and i'll be at home next week if you are agree with ebay it's fine if not please let me know because i have 4 potential buyers or if you don't feel safe,I would like to complete this deal with you right away but l I will need a proof of funds from you. A good friend of mine gave me a good idea, he is also a eBay member and is selling and buying cars worldwide. He instruct me to get a money gram proof of funds and let me tell you how you can do that assuring me that you have cash in hand and ready to purchase the car from me. All you will have to do is to take a relative with you, locate the nearest money gram office, put your relative to make an money order via money gram on your name with the US country of the receiver so I can verify the transfer. Your relative has to be the sender of the money and you will be the receiver, in this case nobody can pick up the money. After you and your relative will make this money gram transfer please reply with money gram payment details, I will verify online with money gram company and If they are telling me that you have one transfer on your name with USA as country of the receiver I will start the delivery to your correct home address in no time.. I replied to her saying that I want to use Paypal as form of payment and have not heard from her since. Be careful!! I have searched on craiglist since then and found numerous ads like the above.

They had nothing to do with this transaction, why are they listed in the thread title? Craigslist didn't rip you off either. In fact, Craigslist has a prominent warning about this type of scam in their autos for sale section. For the record, eBay does not have a purchase program for vehicles purchased on Craigslist. For that matter, neither does Craigslist. Never send money to a stranger via Western Union or Moneygram. Once the recipient picks up the money they can literally disappear. Buying merchandise on the internet can be very safe, but one must use due diligence.
