Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I found the 2003 Honda for only $1420 and contacted the person and it was supposebly a Sargent in the army called Rachel sole's who said there was nothing wrong with it just that she was leaving to Afghanistan by July 1st and had to make the sale. So i went for it but she said she was going to do it through eBay Motors so that the shipping would be taken care of and she would pay for it.

How the transaction was ment to be was through a MoneyPak order which was three of course two of $500 and one for $420. I did that and the next day io get an email said that the seller had and insurance on it for $2000 and that we each had to pay half. I thought about it for a couple of days and decided to cancel the transaction.

Once i let this David Specer person from ebay motors Trust and Safety Department know that i wanted to cancel the transaction he said okay and then hung up and every time i tried calling back the line would sound cut off but i tried with another number he would send to voicemail. I emailed him several times in regards to have i would recieve my money back and never again did i get a single call or email back from this person!

Now im $1500 dollars short and im going to college without a car. If you have a similar case please let me know i want to get this solved i really need that money back or atleast to know this person isnt scamming anyone else.

Yes hello i have the same problem right now, this david spencer is selling me a 2003 honda accord, unfortunately i have paid 2000$ out of the total 2500$ but apparently he called me saying thatone of the money paks did not work, and he says the car has already been shipped, i made a fake excuse saying that i will send him the last 500$ in 7 to 10 bussines days, by that time if he is telling the truth than the car should be here before that since it says the car will be shipped in 4 to 5 days. so im basically telling you that im in the same situations except im waiting to see if this is real or if this is a scam, if the car comes in the next five days then it was real if not then it was a scam and we've both been duped, heres "davids spencers" number but he said he can only make calls not receive them, so good luck with that also heres the email if you dont have it. 1 (661) 748 0240 and the email is [email protected] hope any of this helped, i will post again on this complaint to tell you if it was really a scam or not,

Why did you ignore the five alerts that appeared when you clicked on the cars & trucks link on craigslist?

Recognize and avoid scams:

• Shipping a vehicle to you is suggested by seller - shipping offers are virtually 100% fraudulent

• eBay Motors or another intermediary is suggested - any eBay or similar emails sent to you are fake

• Western Union / money wire is requested - only a scammer will do this, any funds sent will be lost

• Do not buy sight-unseen, regardless of price. The vehicle does not exist, and money sent will be lost.

• Stories about divorcees or servicemen needing to sell fast at a low price are mostly fraudulent

It’s amazing that your situation falls into all five categories.
