eBay and Paypal are ripping off Sellers that ship internationally under the guise of their new Buyer Protection policy.  I have been ripped off by both ebay and paypal for two sales in the last two weeks.

Having sold on ebay for over 10 years, I clearly state in my listings that there is no tracking or insurance for buyers selecting First Class International Shipping, this is available with Priority Mail or Express Mail only (which costs $10.00 + or more depending on the country).  Most buyers will not pay for the additional service as ebay is now enabling them to easily rip you off by claiming they never received the package.

Even if you produce the shipping receipt from the U.S. Postal Service that shows the Customs Number and the Country you shipped to, both eBay and Paypal simply ignore this and issue a full refund to the Buyer including shipping/handling.  Now you as a seller have just been ripped off on eBay Listing Fees, Final Value Fees, the Price of the Item and the Cost of Shipping.  You can quickly land yourself in the poor house by spending your money to ship your property internationally for free!

Obviously unscrupulous buyers have learned of this easy rip-off that eBay and Paypal are not only enabling but in collusion with by ignoring simply logic as well as providing the International First Class Mail option in their software for sellers to use knowing full well that tracking and insurance is not available with this option.

I will be reporting my complaint to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 400 R Street, Sacramento, CA  95814 (800-952-5210) and if you have been ripped off like this, I recommend you report to them as well (eBay and Paypal, an eBay company) are based in San Jose, California, 95125.

I also will be reporting this Rip-off to the Better Business Bureau of Silicon Valley, 1112 S. Bascom Ave., San Jose, CA 95128,  www: http://sanjose.bbb.org email: [email protected] and I welcome any Class Action Lawsuit that can be put together to get Sellers refunded.
