Amanda, I noticed this was your second ROR on the same topic, you should keep it all to one.. As far as what I was saying, I have been on Eay for many many years, and have never encountered a problem. I know for afact that Ebay SPECIFICALLY TELLS PEOPLE NOT TO USE WESTERN UNION EVER. So yes, it is possible to use their "live help". But what I was saying is I do not believe you were logged into the actual Ebay site, and perhaps were logged into a mirrored Ebay site that was a fraudulent site set up by the scammer. In your OTHER post, you mention how Ebay eventually tells you the same thign I did. There is no auction number by that number. So how did you bid on something that doesn't exist, with a seller that hasn't been a member for years and hasn't sold anything since 2004?

Yes, it is possible to go to EBAY and ask the question. I was logged into EBAY and you can send them a message to ask a question. The above is what was sent to me after asking the question. This is a fraud email, but EBAY did respond in my ebay account 8 days later. The reason the cop thinks that ebay is involved has alot to do with the fact that I have copies of the questions sent through ebay (copies are in my inbox with my ebay account) and then ebay responded. SO, YES YOU CAN ASK EBAY A QUESTION AND GET A RESPONSE.

Amanda, I've tried to look up the item number you provided but it does not exist on Ebay. Also, the member you provided hasn't sold anything on Ebay since 2004 and is no longer a registered member and hasn'tbeen in some time, so there is no way they listed an auction. Also, please detail how the police were able to determine that Ebay was "involved"? As far as "going to Ebay to ask the question", this is not possible. There is no way Ebay EVER would tell someone to send payment Western Union. EVER.
