My son rented a textbook for 44.84 on 7/3/2013 he finished wit the book on 8/30/2013. I put the receipt into the book like the company instructed wrapped the book then printed a shipping label from the companies website. I taped the label onto the package and my husband handed the package to our mail carrier on 9/3/2013 because it would not fit in our mailbox. On 11/16/2013 ecampus withdrew $258.16 from my sons checking account. I first called the bank and was told that ecampus had tried on 11/5/2013 to withdraw $283.16 and on 11/15/2013 to withdraw $263.16 before they got the $258.16 for a book that was used and rented for $44.84. I closed the account immediately. I then called ecampus books and asked the representative why they were charging for a book we had returned. I was told they had not received the book. I asked why the company had not contacted my son prior to just taking money from his account the representative responded by saying "we just don't contact consumers." I then asked why they tried to withdraw three different amounts I was told that the company starts at the cost of a new book then lowers the amount by incriments of $20,$10, or $5 until they get some money. I then told the representative that the company was not going to get any money because I closed the account her responce was "Oh Ok" and she hung up
