Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I and several other people worked for this individual, Luis Guillermo Lopez Alvarado, and, have not received full payment for work done.

The company touts integrity, but, his business practices are dubious at best, with fantastical tales, reminsicent of American Greed level...but, still refuses to pay people that work for him, unless they threaten to publically out his company for non payment.

Stay far far away from this company- very very very far. do not do business with them.

I wish I had Googled and found this before I met him. Please let me know if you have already seeked legal advice and would like to join forces to see if we can get some justice.

Luis, while has made a feeble attempt at paying back - was able to get airline miles from him...has NOT, i repeat, NOT paid anything yet...only lots of excuses about banks. sad to believe it's been 2 years of bulls***. i'm beyond pissed...at this point is is aggravating. He offers glimmers of hopes and then, the appointed day comes for payment, and poof- like clock work, there are excuses.

that's the update.

Hey OP! I want to know what has happened since your last post, has the owner paid fully? Are you still working for them? If not did you get back on your feet? What has happened, I hope all has worked out good for you!

From what I gather in these reports and comments from people in Baja, and from a pure pshycological perspective, this person exhibits the classic traits of a Sociopathic behavior: Lack of guilt & remore, unapologetic, constant lying (outrageous lies), superficially charming, intelligent, delusional and articulate. The best way to proceed when dealing with a sociopath is to step away from them and not falling in their circle of deception/falsehood. It is great that you described your experience as a warning notice, one should be really careful with these mentally damaged people.

Exporters of agricultural products...Owed 2 months of pay...I refused to work for longer. And saw another report on a spanish website, with someone claiming that he owed money to suppliers and vendors as well as him as a worker...it was a fascinating read as well.

Holly molly seems like you really were ripped off. Just wondering, what does his "company" do? And how long where you working there? Did he owe you big bucks?

I don't know...I do know one thing. There was a month were he had enough in the account to pay me, yet, chose not to. I have no idea why. Anyway, all these things will catch up, people talk, and it is a small community. All I know is that now, I have lost credibility based on the fact I have been associated with this person. When I complaind on the company's FB page, he blocked me. Anything negative, he twists it around to say you're talking negative about him, or that you are just bad mouthing him- ever acknowledging WHY a person would have the need to tell the truth. This experience has scarred me for life. I'll definitely be more prudent in future dealings witth people. He gets away because everyting sounds so reasonable when speaking to him..explanation for everything..kind of like an episode of American Greed, if you've seen the show. all smoke and mirror. Thanks for taking the time to do the research...

Thank you for your detailed account of his wrongdoings. I am definitely not doing anything for him, ever, and will try to prevent people have to deal with what you went through. I am amazed how does this individual seem to get away with it. I found a very similar report in site like this in spanish. I hope the local community in Baja is aware of his schemes, for their own sake. Also why whould he act like this? Does his company not earn enough money so he resorts to not paying people? Thank you very much, your story is very eye opening.

I was asked to provide organizational management services...there were 6 of us all together.  there was an individual who did work for them the year prior, who called me crying that they hadn't been paid...after much harrassment- that included threatening to expose the fact that they don't pay- finally they paid her a couple weeks ago. I, well, was pushed to the edge...lost my place of rental, amongst other personal things...I had to cease working for them until I got paid. BEGGED to get paid...finally as in, yesterday, sent 80% payment- that was after posting a review on the company page, and also informed them that i had colleagues willing to flood their page with reviews that reflected the lack of payment, also, informed a potential partner about the issue of non payment. Finally, I received 80% payment. there has been NO date given on the rest of monies due...had a story of some financial issues with the bank, etc...I say proceed with extreme caution, and get paid UPFRONT for a specific amount of time you plan to do work with.

As for the other people, one is really upset, another quit working until the issue of pay is resolved, the other, for some reason is hanging in there in hopes of things resolving themselves, another quit working as well, but, his partner is hanging in there to try to complete a sale.

All I know is that in the words of another friend that did work for him last year : he pushes you to the edge (he also had to chase him around for WEEKS to get payment for work completed, and then months, for a personal payment on another matter)... For me, I will NEVER forget this experience- EVER. I told him to get a job and work for a company...and see if he would like if that company paid him whenever they felt like it.

Again, proceed with EXTREME caution, get paid UPFRONT, set clear rules and boundaries...and give timelines, and be prepared to follow through on consequences if the timelines aren't met.

Please be more specific in how he scammed you, how many of you the owner failed to pay? What activities were you doing? I was approached to work for him but now I am seriously having second thoughts so please elaborate. Thankyou
