Spring, It's EDP that's the FRAUD. They keep replying that you need to go to the police department because there must be fraud on your account when it's actually them who are taking advantage of peoples' situations. Who would actually willingly and intentionally pay $160 for a debit card (mind you that this $160 is only for "maintenance fees" and not going towards actually using the card)when you can get a debit card for no charge from your own bank. I suggest that you go to bank and let them know what happened. The exact same thing happened to me. They will have you fill out a fraud report and conduct an investigation. I can't tell you my outcome since I just did this this week. I would also suggest that you contact the Attorney General William Lockyer and file a complaint with his office. If more people report them to the A.G. they can move faster to sanction and shut this company down. Don't let them get away with this. The way they are financially harming people is ridiculous and they don't care. There customer service sucks and they don't care about us as consumers. Please file a complaint with the FTC, FCC, and FBI, and local senators as well. They need to have people complaining. There's over 300 people who have filed complaints on this website on this company. Do you really think that someone else got a hold of all these people's information like Bridgett says? Please help to stop this. Make the first step and contact the Attorney General: Attorney General William Lockyer Attorney General's Office California Department of Justice Attn: Public Inquiry Unit P.O. Box 944225 Sacramento, California 94244-2550 FAX: 916-323-5341

After you go to your bank, tell them the charges were not authorized by you, and have the charges reversed. THEN contact your local District Attorney's office and file a fraud report against EDP. Make sure you report EDP to both your State Attorney General's office and the CA Attorney General's office. You can try to contact EDP and demand a copy of anything you "signed" in order to have money removed from your account. If they refuse, make sure to note that in your complaints. Good luck.

ALTHOUGH I CAN NOT GIVE YOU LEGAL ADVICE BUT, I DO THINK YOU SHOULD DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO IN GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK. IF THAT DOESN'T HELP YOU GIVE DEBBIE A CALL IN THE FRAUD AND COMPLIANCE DEPT SHE MAY BE ABLE TO ASSIST YOU. HER NUMBER IS 818-487-0672 X141. IF YOU DIDN'T FILL THE APPLICATION OUT FOR A PREPAID DEBIT CARD ITS OBVIOUSLY SOME KIND OF FRAUD ACTIVITY HAS BEEN COMMITTED AND I THINK THE LOCAL LAW AUTHORITIES IN YOUR TOWN SHOULD BE INFORMED SO THEY COULD INVESTIGATE AND PERHAPS CATCH THE PERSON WHOM IS COMMITTING THE FRAUD. IF NEEDED WE WILL COOPERATE TO THE FULLEST WITH THE AUTHORITIES TO TRY AND BRING CLOSURE TO THIS.
