As part of an online job site service, where you can search for employment opportunities, one particular site is pushing this eDegree Advisor Service as a prerequisite to being able to apply for the job that you are interested in. As a result, you inescapably have to agree to let edegree contact you, and if you are allowed to say no thanks they will end up with your information anyways, which then will lead to thier frequent unwanted phone calls.

My problem began, when I found myself out of work last November, which led me to sign up on a few jobsites, where in turn send you their daily (supposedly weekly) job postings of all the avalable jobs they matched you up with during their prescreening process and after getting your professional profile.

After signing up for these job listings, usually a solicitation would be made to hook me up with some outfit trying to convince me to go back to college. Most of them, however;  went away after I said that I wasn't interested in retuning to college but this eDegree Advisors outfit delveloped into a first class nuisance.

eDegree Advisors started with a preliminary screening call, where I politely told them that I was already a college grad who wasn't interested in returning to college at this stage in their life. Afterwards, however; they began calling and as time when on their calls became more and more frequent. Later I began tracking these calls, on my caller ID, and soon discovered that I was getting one or sometimes two calls everyday of the week from their numbers.

I then called one of the numbers back, off my caller ID, and discovered that it had an opt out option. After selecting it, the automated voice said that it would take upto 72-hours before it wold go into affect.

Afterwards I continued getting these annoying calls, nearly every hour of the day, on my land line and cell phone. Recently I took one of these calls, and asked the solicitor to stop calling me. They immediately hung up the phone on me. A few minutes later, the same woman called back again only from a different number. After I answered it, and asked her to stop calling again, she hung up a second time.

These solicitors use several telephone numbers to call me from, as follows:  1-877-735-5010, (608) 579-0429, (608) 579-0428, and (608) 579-0427. Hope someone regognizes one of them. I posting this so you won't make the mistake of falling into their trap. After being led to their bogus site, where I was practically forced to answer their questions, this is what resulted.

The authorities didn't seem to be aware before I contacted them and they advised me on how to pursue a complaint. We are absolutely flabbergasted by eDgree advisor's attutide and their shabby demeanor in this, as they have no concern for your privacy, and totally ignore your pleas for them to stop calling. They sort of mock your right to be left alone.

Perhaps this will sobber them up along with the complaint I plan to file against them for violation of our state's no call policy.

Truthfully,

Flabbergasted
