Eight Squared Inc, (Avlimil) rip-off! Fraudulent billing practices. Raleigh North Carolina
In july of this year I answered a tv ad for a free sample of avlimil for women. I was told I only had to pay a 9.99 shipping and handling charge. On 8/6, the company debited my account an additional 79.99 without authoriztion causing a check in my account to bounce.
every time i try to call to dispute this charge, all circuits are supposedly busy. I have been ripped off. do not allow yourself to be conned by these people.

The makers of Avlimil also make several other products such as Altovis, Enzyte, and Suvaril. All are heavily marketed on TV. The company that makes all these products advertises them as "natural supplements". They are not drugs, but are blends of various plants & herbs (homeopathic is another word for it, I believe)...and therefore they are not regulated by the FDA. When you look at the web sites for their products, they all offer "free" samples where all you're paying for is shipping & handling. It's also mentioned on these web sites that your purchase of the "free" sample automatically enrolls you in their "Value-Added" program. This program automatically bills you and sends you refils of the product every 60 days. You can supposedly cancel and not be charged if you call before the "Value Added" billing date. Buying it via phone from their television ad more than likely does the same thing. They *legally* can't do it without informing you about it, so they probably get away with it by showing it in VERY small print at the bottom of the screen during the TV ad...which nobody pays attention to, and is probably shown so quickly that most people are unable to read the whole thing. I had considered buying one of their products, but went to the web site instead of calling. As soon as I saw I would be enrolled in the automatic "Value Added" thing I decided not to order...because I figured it would be a pain in the butt to try and get it cancelled.
