I've spent a lot of money and i was scammed by other companies trying to cancel my timeshare.
My advice is that if you're going to hire a company to help you with the problem, DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT, because it use to be a fraud.
I did a research on internet and i found some interesting articles, i recommend you to read this one:

Please read what I wrote. Maybe it will give you some suggestions to fight these "Pirates of the Pacific." They are getting desperate enough to resort to criminal tactics now. Use any and all avenues to continue to expose them, and if they try to call you, make them put everything they say in writing. I now know how to tell when they are lying...it's when their lips are moving! Seriously.

We should get together and get our stories out.

Diane We are in the same position as you. We're starting down the road with Profeco but not sure where it will lead. In the meantime I'm going to create my own website focused on El Cid Vacation Club practices. If you want your story to be included please respond to this post Jamie, Kelowna

I have come to a roadblock with El Cid so I was about to start with Profeco and others but I am reading on Ripoff that others have already gone there with no success. I would like Ripoff to connect all of us to discuss our El Cid experiences and then I think we should offer our stories to W5 or Dateline or any other documentary that will listen. We need to get the word out there that El Cid Vacations lies and is a scam and we need to protect any other travellers from getting sucked in to this nightmare. Diane
