I went into shop to ask how much a 1/4 sheet, no filling, french buttercream cake would cost. I was told $45. 4 days earlier my husband bought an exact cake there and was charged $40. Upon ordering the cake my husband was asked if he would like filling in the cake and he said no just icing. He assumed when told the price of $40 that it was a double layer when picking it up. Found out later is was only a single layer.
This bakery was recommended to me by people who have ordered the same cake from them since shop opened for $25. They ordered their cakes and did not purchase from the display case as i was told that was price if done so by Elias clerk. I went into the shop in hopes of getting a refund but after hearing a totally different amount from the previous 2 for same cake i knew it wasn't worth the aggrivation. I was dealing with a person who, after explaining to her the different prices that were being charged for same cake, was not comprehending the fact that they were ripping people off.
