Elite Construction Services, Inc. SCAM ARTISTS!! HOME IMPROVEMENT FRAUD!! EMPTY PROMISES! HOME OWNERS BEWARE!!! OZONE PARK & ROSEDALE New York
Avoid "Elite Construction Services, Inc." (who may also do business under other aliases in the metropolitan New York area) at all costs!
Their DCA License # is 1264348 and they claim to be fully insured -- although I beg to differ on this!
Elite Construction Services, Inc. is operating a modern day scam and fraudulent contracting business out of New York! Salvatore Giarrizzo (owner of Elite Construction Services, Inc) is a very smooth talker who at the surface appears to have a decent amount of industry knowledge, but is full of nothing but empty promises! Upon coming to terms on an agreement, they will require a hefty down payment of 20% upfront. Also, they require 100% upfront on any permit and/or expediter work as well as 100% upfront on any replacement/custom window order! This should have been a warning sign to me, but I guess I was so eager to get the job done and dazzled by his promises, that I got suckered into this!!
Upon their receipt of my initial down payment, Elite Construction Services, Inc. will very quickly begin the demolition work utilizing day laborers and under-qualified sub-contractors. Here's the kicker Once the demolition work is done, so are they!!
Sal will then slowly begin to phase himself out of the picture, giving you a ton of excuses (from health conditions, to personal finance issues, to phony car accidents, etc.), and he'll eventually begin to screen ALL of his phone calls and never return any of your messages. Over a period of ~12 weeks, Sal and his crew from Elite Construction Services has take me for a total of $30,275 and have only delivered on about $10k worth of work!!
It has since been over 5 weeks since I last heard from Sal Giarrizzo, his son James, his architect Albert Faber (who also works independently and supposedly has an office in Manhattan), or anybody else associated with this unscrupulous corporation!! They have all completely vanished!
I have recently filed a claim with both the New York Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. Moreover, if resolution is not met (in the form of a refund), I plan to pursue full legal charges on Fraud and Grand Larceny!
Needless to say I'm absolutely irate and disgusted with these unethical business practices. I truly hope that this complaint will help to prevent this guy from striking again and taking your hard earned money!
Also, know that this company uses about 6 different phone numbers and two phony store-front addresses in Queens in order to be more elusive, I guess.
